Very nice hotel, especially for the price. We have stayed at dozens of hotels this year, and Aquila D is one of the best. I can only think of one that was better, and that one was twice the money and breakfast wasn't included. The breakfast buffet here is very good, not quite a "full English breakfast" but much better than what you get in America. Hotels in Spain and France with breakfast buffets like this one charge an extra 15 Euros per person, on top of the room price. The rooms are modern, the hotel has a lift, there's a front desk with actual people there (unlike some other hotels I could mention) and they are nice and friendly. Our bed was very comfortable. Our room had air conditioning, a big TV, and a mini fridge. The location is very convenient, just a block from the bus terminal. The neighborhood is walkable, with lots of shops and restaurants and three grocery stores within 1 km. The beach is less than 2 km away, and there's a city bus stop right in front of the hotel which takes you to the beach for 40 Lekë. The street is sometimes busy and a bit noisy but I hardly noticed it from inside the hotel. Don't expect room service, or free champagne, or a swimming pool, or a massage. It's just a hotel, not a spa resort.

I had a very pleasant stay at Aquila D Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived. As I arrived before check-in time, they kindly offered to store my luggage while I explored the city, which I really appreciated. They were also very responsive to any questions or requests I had throughout my stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and homely, with a TV and all the essential amenities I needed. I particularly appreciated that the room was cleaned daily, and the shower had consistently warm water. Breakfast was good too, making for a great start to the day. The hotel is also ideally located right in the heart of Durrës, making it convenient for exploring the city. Overall, I had a lovely experience and would happily recommend Aquila D Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with friendly, helpful staff and a great location.

The Aquila D is good value for money with a convenient location near the city center of Durres. Staff is friendly but the breakfast options could be more diverse and healthier. The bed and pillows were comfortable and facilities new.
