Welcome to my home in the bucolic village of Warre, in the Belgian Ardennes. The house is built of stone in the local Ardennes tradition, as are the other houses in this charming, sleepy village. the house comprises a reading room-living room and your private bedroom with an en-suite private bathroom (no kitchen). All of these spaces are at your full disposal. The surrounding area is lush and green, and may inspire you to get out, take in the country air, and explore. The Ardennes offer some of the best hiking in Belgium. You may also enjoy kayaking on the Ourthe River. If you like history and architecture, the beautiful medieval city of Durby is a mere 20-minute walk away. After a day of exploring, come home to a cup of tea, and cozy up with a book in the reading room.

Adorable, comfortable, magnificent stay

My partner and I stayed at this residence at the end of our honeymoon trip and for Spas F1 qualifiers and race. We had the best time! Mbarak's description of his home and rooms doesn't do the charming cottage justice. We had plenty of space for our luggage and things, fantastic views of the countryside and lush surrounding foliage, and the breakfast that Mbarak provided I've since grandfathered into my new marriage contract with my husband, absolutely delicious and unexpected upsell. We chose to drive to Durbuy due to the rain, and it was a quick trip by car for wonderful meals and people watching. Most everyone is only French speaking but Google translate helped us navigate those conversations and menus easily. Mbarak was a fantastic host, even when dealing with our time difference ahead of our trip (we came from Seattle Washington, he responded super quick and was able to answer our questions easily. should we ever find our way to Durbuy again, we will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend to family and friends looking for a more private cottage experience in the historical countryside. thank you so much Mbarak for making us so comfortable and cared for after our long tiring travels :) The new Mr. & Mrs. Shanklin

Very friendly and accommodating, nothing was to much to ask. Dogs welcome. Village on top of a hill, so good for a leg work out. Very pleased with my stay.
