Durango wasn't on our original vacation plan, but due to Mesa Verde NP being closed from Govt shutdown, we decided to drive the Million Dollar Hwy. The Fairfield Inn and Suites Durango ended up being a great stay, that was very close to downtown shopping, restaurants and museums. We would stay here again, and recommend to anyone staying in the four corners, Mesa Verde, southern CO area. "

"Clean, great center city location walkable or a 1 city block drive from historic dowtown (literally can see historic downtown road from hotel). Great breakfast both hot/cold & healthy options. Also next to natural grocers if that your vibe as well. Every morning after breakfast we'd head down to the indoor parking garage that exits right onto the Animas for disabilities access or also accessible via breakfast deck.
