3 Tage als Zwischenstopp im Crown Plaza sind eigentlich einer zu viel. Es liegt direkt in Strandnähe und hat eine tolle Beach. Nach links geht zu schönen Felsformationen. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel, aber häufig nur zur Ostseite mit teilweisem Meerblick. Leider wurde während unseres Aufenthalts der gesamte Coffeeshop mit dem Presslufthammer herausgerissen. Als wir uns darüber muckierten hiess es lapidar: „it is only from 9 to 5“ toll, nur den ganten Tag also. Dafür gab es auch keinerlei Kompensation, ein Cocktail auf Kosten des Hauses wäre ein Zeichen des gute Willens gewesen, ein Abendessen angemessen. Denn das Abendbuffet kostete schlappe 50,- Euro pro Person ! Ein Bier 12 Euro. Das Essen war sehr gut - Frühstück super, aber das fanden wir doch übertrieben. Bis auf den Rock Garden und den Strand kann man in Duqm nichts ansehen.

Horrible smell of wet and closed in room. They seem to be aware of it, since the receptionist warned me but they still do not resolve. Could be a decent overall experience but this for me spolied the whole experience

Staff were very friendly, especially Mohamed at check-in. Buffet breakfast was fantastic and the property was very clean. Swimming pool was nice, with a beach view, but a little small for a resort pool.

Average stay, could have been better

Hotel and room were neat and clean however there were a few things that could be improved. The Pool closes at 7 pm and hence if you want to take a relaxing dip in the pool in the evening after returning from work, you cant. Also there was a problem in payment, despite paying in advance on the Hotels.com website, my credit card was swiped again upon check in, I had thought it was a security deposit pre authorisation but actually it was charged. Thankfully I noticed this at check out and had to request for a reversal of transaction. The refund is atill awaited. Also there was a problem with the IPTV with the channels not being streamed properly and remote not working. Basic amenities like ~Toothbrush, Tooth Paste etc were not provided in the room. They did not even have a shoe shine in the room. Overall, I expected better.

Great stay at the Crowne

I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza. I appreciated the upgrade to a larger room, the fitness center facilities, and the food options available on site. The pool area and view from the back are beautiful. My only critique is that it is more humid than normal in the room. They should install a dehumidifier to address that issue. Otherwise, it was a good stay, and I look forward to returning.

Special stay at Duqm

This hotel has so much to offer! The staff are exceptional and really make you feel at home! Although we were there for work, the hotel location and staff mad it feel like a vacation. We also received an amazing free upgrade which really just made the experience all that more special. One thing that is missing maybe is the fact that there was no Omani cuisine served during the entire time we stayed at the hotel. We also assumed that the coffee would be local, but unfortunately only Nescafe was available... Think this hotel has so much to offer that it really is only the small things that now need to be addressed.

Really lovely property, we went back for a repeat stay. The staff here is what makes the hotel so great, their attention to detail, their friendliness and willingness to help and go the extra mile. The food here is also delicious and they have a great infinity pool. We stayed here as a mid way point on our road trip from muscat to salalah along the coastal route. Highly recommended

Beautiful hotel, on a stunning beach. The staff are very courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast and dinner were delicious! Had a great night's sleep, and during the day the beach and infinity pool were grear diversions. There is not much to the town of duqm yet, and also the natural beach running into the desert does have some rubbish washing up from the sea.

Great stay. After one of the other hotels in Duqm tried to charge me double the Expedia price at the door (inlcluding a 17 OMR 'tax'!), I decided to head to the Crowne Plaza. Great rooms, food and staff.
