Peaceful - wildlife

It was very relaxing. Loved sitting out in the porches and listen to the wildlife at night. Great location on the river! I would recommend eating at Swampys restaurant just down the road. Also make time to explore the river via kayak or renting a boat just down the road.

Aside from some minor maintenance and cleanliness items (which are now reported), this property was great. Just can’t beat staying right on the river and having access to own kayaks!! The back area made the property!!

Great river home!

This house is perfect for those who appreciate a beautiful river view, peace and quiet, large yard, and may love to kayak, paddleboard or tube right out of your backyard! Roomy and clean house! We loved our stay and will be back. Also, walking distance to Swampy's, a delicious and fun restaurant on the water, love music!

A Beautiful Spot on the River

This property is very well kept, clean and comfortable. It offers a quieter spot on the Rainbow, away from river congestion that occurs on the weekends. Will hopefully return for another stay!

The location of the house was excellent and very peaceful on the river. Easy access to the river with the double kayak provided was perfect for us. Lots of wildlife and the river is much less busy on a week day. House met most our needs, but we did give up waiting on the hot water for the master shower. House is for sale so some how a showing occurred just after our arrival. All the visits from the neighbors cat "Wiskers" was a great bonus. Definitely will be back another time.

It was amazing. The children loved kayaking and paddle boarding. My son and his wife enjoyed kayaking to Swampies for lunch every day. I loved watching the wildlife. The backyard was large enough to hang a hammock and play corn hole when we weren't fishing on the dock. We look forward to renting this property again.

Rainbow fun

Beautiful area on the river. Well cared for house and good access from tubes , kyaks etc with a step from the river to shore.We enjoyed using paddleboards, kyaks, tubes, although they could use a bitmore attentionand maintenance.

Beautiful location

It was great to be able to get right on the water from the dock. We paddled and swam and hung out on the porch. Great time! Only issue was that the guests before us put dirty diapers in the outside trash can but did not bring it out to the curb, so there were maggots on it. The house itself was clean - no other complaints!

Had it not been for Hurricane Debby, I am sure that my trip would have been MUCH more enjoyable. The house itself was great. Due to the storm and the amount of rain, there was a problem, but as soon as I notified Evolve, the problem was taken care of within an hour. Their customer service is fast and super polite. Everything in the house was as described. It was a great little retreat.

Location, Location, Location

Gorgeous views of the Rainbow River with a private feel. The river bank was quite loaded with water weeds when we arrived, but the weeds were cleaned during our stay. The bottom is quite mucky, so it's not really ideal for swimming, but it is great for small boats and kayaks. The home itself could use some updating and maintenance, but the interior is clean. The beds are hard. We are local and rented to have our kids/grandchild visit comfortably in a fun location. We chose to stay at home in our own beds. That said, the main rooms are spacious and great for family gatherings. The river views are amazing. We enjoyed our stay!

Christmas getaway

We decided to take a break from frigid Vermont Christmas' and book a warm getaway to Florida. For a wildlife and photography enthusiast this location was amazing! Right off the back lawn overlooking a setback on the Rainbow River, teaming with wildlife! We rented a pontoon boat and parked it at the dock of the house for a lunchtime barbecue, we had a blast! Great biking/walking path just on the other side of the river, 2 minute drive to the trailhead. We saw gators! A couple quirks with the house, like getting warm water in one of the showers and bathrooms and some questionable linens, but otherwise suited our needs and expectations very well.

Girls' Weekend

There were 4 of us Ladies (in our 40s and 50s) that stayed for 3 nights. We really enjoyed this property. Very spacious, plenty of room in the kitchen for all of us to move around. Had all the appliances that we needed (loved the coffee maker/Keurig combo). All 4 beds were comfortable. The screened in porch is where we spent most of the time. It was nice to see through the island to see boaters and paddleboarders going through the main part of the river. The lower platform dock was great for getting in and out of the water & kayaks. Walking distance to Swampy's Bar & Grill was a plus. I would love to rent this house again.

Nice property and great location. We did have issues getting in on arrival. We were not sent the code for the entrance door , so we had to call to get it. The correct code was not given to us , so we had to call again. The dock was under water and not usable. That should have been communicated ahead of our stay.

Great location to enjoy the beautiful Rainbow River

Spacious, bright and very comfortable house on large property right on the the river. Home is older, but clean and well maintained. Appreciated guest instructions book mentioning that the water in the shower next to the master bedroom had to be opened for a few minutes before it warmed up. However, we let the water run for several minutes and it never warmed up. Thankfully, there was no issue with the second bathroom and everyone was able to shower with warm water. Also, it was great having kayaks provided for guests to use and launch right from the private deck without having to always drive somewhere to rent them. We were able to enjoy the river at sunset after returning from our daily adventures visiting Rainbow Springs State park and the Blue Run Park, both a few minutes drive. The home is located in a very quiet and nice residential neighborhood with older large spacious properties surrounded by large wooded areas with lots of old growth trees and flora, making it feel like you are away from town, but yet, restaurants were just a couple of minutes away, making it very convenient. The Rainbow River is one of the most gorgeous rivers we've been to in Florida, with clear emerald and turquoise waters and several natural springs. We will be making this an annual summer getaway from now on.

House and location were great, very comfortable. Only thing preventing a 5 star is that some of the recreational items were in need of repair (one of the bikes has a flat tire and one of the paddle boards was missing fins so you can’t steer it). Even with this I would still stay here again.
