Not only is this property a world wonder for its breath-taking views, but also an historical site where on October 2, 1863 the Confederates watched from this exact location as the union army crossed the valley before raiding them along the mountainside. The space You can definitely find peace and serenity at Overlook Cabin. This rustic cabin sits on six private acres nestled amongst a large farm with a variety of exciting farm animals surrounding the property.

This was by far the most beautiful location I have stayed at in the southeast! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. We also loved watching the chickens and goats :)
It is truly a mountain retreat near Chattanooga. The view alone is worth the stay, but the host provides everything you need. We enjoyed all the small towns located near the property. What an amazing weekend vacation!
We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 13th anniversary. The view is amazing and we loved the goats on the property. Even the neighbors dog came to visit the first morning. We would definitely stay again.
When enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful. The cabin was cozy and we felt safe while riding out the tropical storm Helene. We hope to return in the future.
Visiting family in Chattanooga while dog sitting our daughters dog. This was the perfect place to stay with a dog! Dog was able to run around property and had a great time do so!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay in this cabin. The view was breathtaking and the area surrounding the cabin provided a secluded, yet easily accessible to the different towns. The cabin was clean, organized, and the bed was perfect. The cabin was just the right size for my husband and I. The hosts checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back and are so happy with our stay. We also loved watching the goats everyday!
My husband & I loved our one night getaway! This cabin was perfect! It was far enough away from the city to have peace and quiet but close enough to grab some food and groceries. I loved the one bedroom with living room and kitchen. We loved the decor & the goats!
A rustic, charming one-bedroom cabin on a bluff overlooking a wide valley carved out by glaciers, we had beautiful views and all the opportunity to unplug we could ask for.
The Overlook Cabin was the perfect getaway for my wife and I's 10 year anniversary! The view and the cabin were perfect! The cabin had everything we needed! The host was very friendly and communication was excellent! We will definitely be booking this cabin again in the future!
Beautiful property with huge sweeping views of the valley. We had a very short stay as we were working on our nearby property and Travis was very welcoming and friendly, sharing some of the local history of the area with us. The cabin has several special touches that make it feel luxurious and rustic at the same time and you can sit on the porch and watch the sky and valley below for hours!
Our entire stay here was amazing! Travis was very welcoming & friendly and gave us some great ideas of places to see while we were there. He was very attentive as well and supplied a couple of things that we needed during our stay. The views were breathtaking and we very much enjoyed sitting out on the porch taking it all in. The cabin offered a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort and was very clean and cozy. The cabin's location offered both seclusion and convenience. We felt immersed in nature, yet attractions and amenities were just a short drive away. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to disconnect and recharge. The goats on the property were also very sweet and we had fun loving on them. We would definitely stay here again. :-)
If you are looking for a serene getaway, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and town, THIS is the place for you. It's a perfect little mountain cabin with everything you need to relax. we would sit on the porch all morning and watch the rain roll in over the smokies drinking our coffee. The host was so gracious and polite, answering any and all questions we had about the place promptly. I hope to stay here again in the future.
If you love sunsets, you must stay here. Each evening I spent hours outside on the front porch watching the sun set. What an incredible view. The cabin is not fancy. But it works. For those that really do their research, you may notice a farm nearby. I wasn't able to smell anything from the farm. The only occasional noise was from a donkey across the street. TN has some of the nicest state parks. We went out hiking each day. We would stay here again.
For our 20 year anniversary we wanted to to be away from it all and we were not disappointed. Plenty of room to be comfortable. Our only suggestion would be a different situation with the bath tub/shower it is very small but does the job. We realize the look they are going for and while it looks great and does the job it was sort of frustrating to take a shower and have the shower curtains sticking to you on one side or the other. My wife was disappointed that she couldnt soak in a hot bath but we made it work. The stunning view msde the shotcomings well worth the stay all the same. Thabks again and we will book again!
We stayed for 8 nights and had a wonderful time. Travis, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. We had an issue with the shower and he was right on it.
He has goats in a pen on the property. 3 baby goats which were a delight to watch in the morning.
The location is great for a quiet weekend getaway. VRBO did not have a picture of the shower/clawfoot bathtub. It is geared more for younger adults. I did get to put my balance skills to a test which I still pass at 70 years old!
Signal Mountain is a ways from Chattanooga so it does take some time to get around.
I would highly recommend this place for a shorter vacation. The bed is comfortable, plenty of towels and coffee and filters. If you are planning on cooking all of your meals there, you might need to bring things you need. A measuring cup, cheese grater, etc. Otherwise, he has all of the pots and pans. The charcoal grill is great.
There is a chicken/rooster pen there, too.
