The property was perfect for what we needed, it was me, my husband and my mother, along with our two dogs. They loved the yard and we loved the hot tub! The house was also set far enough off the road to be very quiet and safe, and the driveway that went to the other house down the road was rarely used. The location was also perfectly sent in the heart of wine country and Lake Seneca. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
We enjoyed the fire pit & the hot tub. It was centrally located on the left side of the lake, clean, & met all of our needs. The property is large & peaceful & there are no neighbors so we didn't have to worry about playing music or being loud. Only minuses were that the shower water is very soft & left everyone with a feeling of oily skin. also house sleeps 6 but only 4 dining room chairs.

Everything was amazing. The house was perfect location.the house was clean, peaceful and beautiful.
Great location and and very private. Nice hot tube and yard. Everything was very nice. Only improvements that I would recommend would be more water pressure for the showers, but we did enjoyed our stay there.
My family and dog stayed here for a second time and enjoyed it. The hot tub is always a hit, and the location is both private and convenient. More spacious than you’d think from the pictures. Only minor complaints are the somewhat uncomfortable futons and small showers.
Great location right across from Wiemer. Clean house on large plot of land. Water pressure in sinks can be a little lacking if someone else is using the water at the same time but fine otherwise. Got a chance to use the hot tub at night which was a lot of fun!
The house was even cuter in person than on the listings, we were so completely charmed. The host had everything set up beautifully. The location is perfect and near several amazing wineries within 15 minutes of driving including one of the best on the lakes right across the street. We discovered the most adorable antique shop just down the road, and it was within driving distance of several towns with excellent food options. We enjoyed the hot tub and taking walks down to the lake view at the end of the road. We had a lovely charming weekend
Great location. Comfortable beds. Very clean. My only concern would be the temperature regulation. We tried several times to turn the AC down bc it was very warm and it kept shutting off.
The place was very cute, quaint, and well maintained. We loved the location and the privacy with big property. We are definitely staying here next time we come. The only complaints are the place was missing basic toiletries like shampoo, body wash, etc. and the walkway was very slippery (our friend fell). I do see now that toiletries weren't included as an amenity, but the listing should be more explicit and clear since toiletries are usually a standard amenity.
We stayed for 3 nights during April's eclipse. After looking at ridiculously priced hotels near Buffalo, we decided to instead rent a home in the Finger Lakes. Proved to be perfect as we were close to many wineries & breweries & a short trip to Pen Yan & Watkins Glen.
The house was well cared for, clean, and very private. Perfect size for 2 couples and 2 kids, although one of the kids did sleep on an air mattress as there's only bed per room. The house was pretty well stocked and plenty of bedding, although we did need to get paper towels & tissues. The kids were happy that there's great wifi, even worked outside.
The communication with the owner was quick & friendly. The only thing i rated slightly lower was communication because of the use of a separate app called Lodgify. My initial communications were through VRBO & a few days later I received texts to create an account through that app. Initially ignored it because i thought if was a phishing message. Finally did go into it & that's where you find details on arrival, etc, although no way to message anyone through the app. Had to go back & message through VRBO. Not a big deal but a little confusing.
Would definitely consider staying here if we travel again with a small group to the Finger Lakes!
Cute place to stay when checking out all the wineries, breweries and distilleries. Nice fire pit!

Very clean; it had everything you could want or need.
The cottage was perfect for a girls weekend away. The location was perfect (we took advantage of walking over to Hermann Wiemer) and the hot tub was great!
Everything was exactly as described in the website and the house was spotless wjen we arrived.
The property was exactly as it was shown on the site. The house was spotless. The owners responded to our texts quickly and were helpful in suggesting local restaurants. The jouse was located nearby many wineries which was convenient. This is a property that I would defi itely recommend.

Deck the halls
We stayed at this property for the November deck the halls event on the wine trail. My wife and our friends had a fantastic time here! It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a big dinner together after visiting so many wineries and breweries throughout the day. We highly recommend this cottage and we will absolutely be coming to stay here again in the future!
P.S. Everything was so clean and neat when we arrived as well!
Pros- convenience to Watkins Glen, Seneca Lake& Wine Trail, and Keuka Lake. Very clean, very nice & responsive owners, fire pit, allowed to take dog, comfortable beds, linens and towels provided, and hot tub!!
Cons- house is a little dated, central AC did not keep house cool during heatwave (even with blinds, windows and doors shut, couches very uncomfortable (they are futons), and owners forgot to send check-in procedures one week in advance, got it the day before when I asked, but was prompt in sending it.

Great for a girls weekend!
We had a wonderful time at Willow Cottage. I was with a group of girls for a bachelorette party and the cottage fit us perfectly. Everything was clean and comfortable. Pat and Brenda were simply the best. One day we inquired about ice cube trays and sure enough, Brenda was at the door with several trays for us. We also didn't have lighter fluid for the charcoal grill and in no time, Pat was there looking to see if he had any in the garage. They were the sweetest.
We really enjoyed ourselves and I would definitely recommend this location!
Overall I would give this a 4.9/5 rating. It was extremely clean, well maintained. The hot tub was comfortable and we were able to use the fire pit, which was set up prior to our arrival. The only issues that we've had were with kitchen things. The coffee maker definitely needs to be replaced. We used a whole pound of coffee trying to get this thing to brew wtihout getting half of the coffee grinds in the coffee pot. It would be nice to have more non-stick pots and pans but it is understandable that these would likely get ruined by guests.
The privacy of the property is incredible. Overall this is MUST STAY for this property and we will defintely be back!!
The four of us enjoyed our stay. The rental is extremely clean, nice large kitchen, 2 full baths with showers (one a tub shower) and we all agreed the beds gave you a great nights sleep, even without TV's in the bedrooms. We thought the living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable. Futons are hard.
We sat on the sun porch and watched the wildlife pass by. The property is HUGE and lovely. We didn't buy wood for the fire pit. You had to buy your own and we had trouble finding any as most places were sold out. Could be a nice little perk for guests that doesn't cost much money. We perhaps watch too much HGTV where Scott of Vacation House Rules has some tips for owners and a starter pack of wood would have been his suggestion, I'm sure.
We had trouble with the television as both of us couples have Xfinity/Comcast in Pittsburgh with talking remotes and all the apps are an option in their menu. Theirs was a bit more complicated so I would suggest having a cheat sheet by the TV for future guests on how to work through this. Jeff was EXTREMELY helpful in getting this to work. I'm pretty savvy with technology but must admit that this Apple Box had me a bit stumped. Took awhile to get used to but still the downside was that their package with their cable company, Spectrum, had ZERO network stations. No ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, etc. so therefore we didn't see any world news, Jeopardy, or Thursday Night Football (where their New York Giants team was playing and lost by 1 point!)The guys were bummed. No Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, or Stephen Colbert. Jeff suggested that I upgrade my Hulu to Hulu+ with Live TV. After checking into that option I discovered it is $60/month for a trial and I wasn't prepared to do that for a few days. All the vineyards close around 6:00 so there isn't much to do but watch TV after that and we don't play games or cards. There are plenty of apps and most require a subscription but again, cumbersome to manipulate and shuffle through. That was a true bummer. BUT, the TV is large and nice.
In all the reviews, people say you are supposed to bring toilet paper which we did. PEOPLE, you do NOT need to bring toilet paper! They have a septic system and they know what kind to buy! Also, there are PLENTY of coffee filters in the cupboard next to the sink. We used the ones we brought, but believe me, there are MANY! We brought a roll of paper towels but used theirs and then left ours behind for the next guests.
Nice large private yard. Cute cottage that made you feel comfortable and loved the hot tube time gazing at stars each night. Would recommend to anyone. The imperfections give it that feeling of being in the country.
We had a great girl trip weekend exploring the breweries on Seneca. 8 of us stayed and we had plenty of room.
The home is a bit dated but maintained pretty well and is clean inside. The main shower was quite slippery and the shower head is very low making it awkward for many of us.
The outside of the property needs a good pressure washing. The house, porch and deck were all very dirty. While we were there the back light was out making it quite dangerous to get to the hot tub and fire pit. We had to use our phones for flashlights. I messaged about the light being out as it was not safe - and was told the light must have burnt out. Understandable - but expected someone to come by and fix it as it was a safety issue.
Overall location was great - close to many winery and brewery options and Geneva area. The house had all we needed inside and worked well for our weekend getaway.
