Great for thru hikers
Was a new rental to VRBO and had been remodeled, nice new mattresses that we slept great on. Lots of new amenities. All new dishes, bedding, towels etc. Very clean. There were 5 of us with 4 being through hikers on the AT. Plenty of hot water for everyone and water pressure was great. Reminded me of an older lake or river cabin that had been almost fully updated. Don’t expect a brand new townhouse. But almost all the furnishings were new. Big tv with cable too. Nice faux fireplace heater which felt comforting. It had been super hot weather but the host made sure the entire unit was very well cooled upon our arrival. Air conditioning had no issues keeping things cool. There were also fans to use if wanted.The host was so great and willing to provide whatever we needed. He welcomed suggestions and was eager to make any improvements. This place will continue to get better and better.The washer was having issues but the host had maintenance come right away. Onsite maintenance for any issues.We felt very comfortable and it was fantastic how close it is to the AT and within walking distance to restaurants and the hiker store/hostel. We were so grateful to have this close to the trail option since there are no close major hotels. Many thanks to the host!
