"Host friendly when we arrived. No parking - only had 3 cars on front. Could park our car for free across the road. Believe was a school car park. We entered the building from a side door to the new part of the building. On entrance was tea/coffee making facilities for all of the room (think 6 rooms?)Room new, modern and well decorated including bathroom. Room (20) not huge but adequate for 2 nights. Was at the front of the building so had to shut the window in the early hours because of traffic noise. Bus stop very close and easy to get into Edinburgh. I would book again. "

"The Pine Marten is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel building is separate from the pub so no noise. The bedroom was clean with all facilities. The bed was (unlike in some hotels) very comfortable. Had continental breakfast each day at £6 odd. It was adequate but no yoghurt mixed with berries like at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Also the music being played was dire . Funeral music "

"Such welcoming staff who were so helpful in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful, really tasty and lots of variety. The full Scottish breakfast was a firm favourite! The room was super clean and quiet. A lovely stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, which a quaint village feel. This has a family feel to it! Thank you, my 7 year old son would love to stay again. "
