Family get away

Great Cabin for a Family North Shore Getaway!

We had a great stay. Cabin was set up with everything we needed.Kitchen set up is great nice gathering area with a view. Love the knotty pine interior. Beds we used were comfy, two bathrooms made it convenient.Downstairs room with the fireplace was cozy for relaxing. Liked the fact there was a lower level door for entry. Appreciate the dog friendly option, our dog Chase loves to travel with us. Host communicated before, during and after our stay. Very satisfied and highly recommend if you want privacy and comfort with a cabin feel.

Beautiful property with modern amenities

Our group of 6 adults had an exceptional stay at this beautiful cabin. Nestled in the woods with an incredible view of Lake Superior, this cabin is a gem for a family or friend trip. The facilities are impeccably clean and modern. The location is also a short drive away from some of the areas most popular attractions. 100% would recommend.

Duluth Family Adventure

We had a fantastic stay at your Knife River property. The house was a perfect location! Duluth and Two Harbors were minutes away. We appreciated both the layout and cleanliness of the property. We’d definitely stay there again!

Awesome Place! Highly recommended

We loved the log home, it was more spacious and comfortable than we expected. Kitchen was great, and very well furnished. Owner/manager was easy to contact and very friendly. The beds & bedrooms were perfect for our group and all very comfortable. The house is tucked away in the woods and very private, no neighbors were in site. You can really tell that the owners put alot of work and love into their cabin!

Fall Getaway

Nice, secluded cabin. We planned to spend our time in Two Harbors and Duluth so it was the perfect middle ground. Nicely furnished, plenty of room for six adults. Had fun playing video games on the giant tv when the weather was rainy. This will be one of our top rental choices in the area!

Not much of a lake view

The cabin was nice and clean and in great shape. There is no yard to speak of, there is a long staircase to get into the cabin, and the view of the lake is a small patch between the trees.

Beautiful, peaceful location!

We loved our stay here! So peaceful and such a beautiful cabin! Saw plenty of deer right outside and had a nice view of the lake. Lots of space and everything you could need and more. It’s in a perfect location as it’s only about 20 minutes to Duluth and a short drive up to Two Harbors. There was a bit of an ant issue on the lower level living area, but that’s part of being in the country/woods. Wouldn’t deter us from staying again.

Awesome cabin

This is one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed at. It was exactly what we were expecting. Great communication with the owner. My only suggestion would be to have wine glasses but it’s a minor detail! We hope to stay again in the future!

Close to Wedding venue

My son got married at Larsmont Cottages and they dont accept dogs. So we rented the cabin for 3 nights so the dog could come with us. We couldn't have been more pleased, we had everything we needed and the place was spotless. We had plenty of room and enough bathrooms to get ready for the wedding festivities each day. Lovely views of the ships on the lake too.

Wonderful

This cabin was a nice cozy cabin with enough sleeping room for the six adults we had plus we had one more bed for a single. It was located where we needed it to go further north or to go into Duluth. It was great. We came back one day and there were just four deer roaming around the property and the other day when I woke up there was one peeking in the window. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend. If I was gonna stay at Christmas, I would bring Christmas decorations. It made me want to stay through the holidays and decorate and hide from the world. A little bit was like my little bit of a Hallmark movie

Amazing low key getaway

We stayed here the night before my wedding with my groomsmen, and enjoyed being able to relax in the woods before my wedding. The views from the upstairs deck are amazing, looking through the trees, in our case some amazing fall foliage, and across Lake Superior was incredible. Sunrises and sunsets here are incredible. The inside is clean and well maintained, with a great, simple, log cabin feel. The downstairs TV worked great for streaming, and is streaming only (no DVD player etc). The firepit in the back worked great, and lives up to the low/no smoke reputation described in the booking. I would absolutely stay here again, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a simple escape in the north woods, which still allows for all with the comforts off home.

Fell Short of Expectations

We could tell a lot of effort went into this property. The bedrooms and bathrooms are plain but nice. However, we didn't realize it was a 3 level property. My husband uses a walker. He had to navigate dirt and cobblestone to get to the front door and then an 8" high step to get in. Downstairs has a living room, bedroom and bathroom. He could not climb the stairs to get to the kitchen and other living areas. Also of note: this property is not mowed because the owners are trying to create an environment for pollinators. Lovely thought, but there is no room for kids to play. There is a supposed view of Lake Superior but it's obstructed. Because of the above, I cannot recommend this property to anyone with mobility issues, or anyone that has an expectation for kids to have outdoor space.

Great place!

We really enjoyed staying here with our adult children. Plenty of room to gather and have dinner, hang out by the fire and play games. Very nice, plan to return someday.

We enjoyed a very nice time at this VRBO vacation rental. Chad does a great job with the place. He’s also very caring and very approachable for anything that you might need. It’s a very nice setting and close to the many State Parks along the North Shore. I would definitely recommend this log home for anybody looking for a place to stay.

We had a lovely weekend at this cabin. It was very clean and well stocked. It was far enough off the highway that it was very quiet & peaceful. I do feel that the listing is confusing. It lists 3 bedrooms. It indicates there are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and one bedroom with a king bed. However, the photos don't show the king room. But there is a photo of a room with bunk beds. ??? The reality is that there are 4 bedrooms. Also, be aware that you pay extra for using more than the one king bedroom.
