"We were very pleased with our recent visit. The rooms were always cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels. I found the staff to be very friendly. The price was reasonable especially at this time of year. The hotel was also conveniently located near major highways and shopping."

"Rooms clean. Halls smell of either cigarette smoke or marijuana. Everything freshly painted it must be in the carpets. My room was clean and odor free. "
"We spent a week here with two dogs and somehow it was not a nightmare. The room was quite large and carpet-free which is a good thing with pets. The beds were a bit too hard, the pillows excellent. The thermostat is over-engineered and incomprehensible. Great shower. Badly-placed light switches. And the free breakfast was not a high point.
So, if I have some complaints, why five stars? Two things: the vibe. I know that's vague, but JHouse has a great vibe. And second: Tony's restaurant. 5 meals and not a step wrong. The staff is professional and motivated. The food is excellent as is the bar. It's a fun place. Long years ago I waited tables and I'd have liked to work at Tony's. My sole complaint? The soup spoon was too small and I wanted that lobster bisque in my mouth faster.
Add a bakery right across the street, a gourmet food store, a pet store a block away, and all the Autumn colors in November. In all, a lovely experience. "
"We’ve been coming to the Stanton House Inn every few months for the past two years and just love it. It makes an excellent alternative to the bland anonymity of a hotel, being small enough to feel cozy, and yet sufficiently “hands off” to allow for a good sense of privacy. The ground floor has three living rooms, where you can sit, relax, read, and even work, without the goldfish-bowl feeling of a regular hotel lobby. Rooms are very clean, and beds really comfortable. (I happened to be in lobby when cleaning staff came in—three young women exuding good cheer and energy with every movement.) But this place is not for those who want full service (e.g., there’s no staff on site after 4 PM on most days). Also, this being a house rather than a hotel, not every room is the same in terms of convenience. "
"My family and I absolutely loved this property! Very spacious and comfortable and yard and play space for the kids was such a bonus. Dierdre was wonderful and stayed checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything. Highly recommend a stay here."
