Mia Casa – Step Free Authentic Stay, Old Town Dubrovnik

  • Mia Casa is an old Dubrovnik house, located in the heart of the Old Town. An old Dubrovnik merchant who traveled from Venice to Istanbul originally owned the house. To this day, Mia Casa continues to evoke and retell the old story through artifacts purchased during these distant journeys.
    The merchant was well respected in the Republic of Dubrovnik and was frequented by other merchants and buyers of all religions and nationalities, including the Catholics, the Orthodox, the Jewish people and the Muslims. As a result, the house continues to represent features honoring all religions.
    Even today, this charming house continues to exhibit some of the relics dating back to the old days of the Republic. Once inside, you will immediately notice the authentic stone sink and the stone fridge. One item specifically - the stone ledge – continues to amaze visitors who attempt to decipher its meaning and purpose. Such stone of the same shape and dimension is exhibited at the Rector's Palace Atrium.
    What makes this historical house so special is its location in the heart of the Old Town, close to all its attractions, but yet so far away from the city noise. You must take notice of the fact that the vast majority of apartments in the Old Town sit on top of restaurants and cafes.
    Unpleasant odor from restaurant kitchens, music from cafes, or the murmur of people from their places inevitably reaches city apartments. However, due to location of beautiful and secluded Mia Casa, its ground floor in a quiet alley eliminating the need to climb stairs, you may be rest assured to experience a pleasant and peaceful stay in one of the world’s top destinations.
    Recently remodeled house has two bedrooms. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and air-conditioning. House can accept up to 4+1 persons.
    It is also equipped with full kitchen, living room, 1 extra bathrooms, along with air conditioning. It is equipped with plasma TV, satellite programs and internet. It has all necessary appliances for a long and comfortable stay.
    Will provide our guests with the best possible treatment and be at their disposal during any time of the day.

You can't get a better location than this apartment. On a quiet side street right in Dubrovnik's Old Town, you are never more than 7-8 minutes away from any sights. The apartment is wonderfully old and funky, but it is appointed with all modern features. I strongly recommend this apartment.

Great location and perfect for 2 people!

My mother and mother in law stayed here during our time in Dubrovnik. The place has 2 rooms and separate bathrooms, which was perfect for each to have their own space. It was an amazing spot and incredibly well located!

Dubrovnik Comfort

Mia Casa is a beautiful place to stay while in Dubrovnik. The location is outstanding being within Old Town. The apartment is very comfortable, convenient, and interesting. It is quiet mostly. The bedrooms are upstairs and a daybed is downstairs. All of the bathrooms are spotless and well supplied. As a 3 person family, we could have not asked for anything more while in Dubrovnik.

We love out stay at Mia Casa

Beautiful apartment on two floors in perfect spot in old town. The owner greeted us at the door, and was wonderful to work with. Downstairs is a small sitting room and kitchen, upstairs two nicely sized bedrooms. bathrooms are tight, but workable. Could not imagine a better location.

We had a wonderful stay here! Everything was exactly as described, and the location was perfect for our family with strollers and two young children. Having plenty of space and being able to avoid the many city stairs made a big difference. The host was fantastic with communication and went above and beyond in stocking the house—there were multiple coffee and Nespresso options, plenty of plates, utensils, and appliances, and even some candy as a thoughtful snack. Entry was simple with the door code, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. Laundry was also convenient with a washing machine and a line with clothespins for air drying. Overall, it was a very comfortable and family-friendly stay, and we’d gladly return!

Fantastic accommodation in the Old Town

Our stay started by being picked up at the airport by Suzana, who then drove us to the Old Town. She then helped us with our luggage to the accommodation. The house has many original pieces and has been in family over several generations. The location is great and close to many restaurants and attractions. Upon leaving we were once again helped with our luggage and driven to the port to catch our boat for the next part of our holiday. Thank you to our hosts Suzy, Vedran and Vanja

Magical

Upon arrival Suzana met us at the Pile Gate and escorted us to the home. Where we were able to store our bags until check in time. She communicated with me at my request through the What’s app. We found Suzana most attentive in getting us settled in with the old town. The home was well located without step to get there but of course steps to the bedrooms. It was a plus having the washing machine😊. We were sad to leave this enchanting city. We highly recommend this VRBO for its location

Perfect Stay in Dubrovnik

We had a great experience with Vanja & her family staying in their home. They were so helpful. We arranged to have them pick us up at the airport, which made our arrival seamless. Verdan, her brother, & his wife Suzi were so welcoming. Suzi met us at Pile Gate and helped take our bags to Mia Casa. Not having to take the luggage up stairs in the old town is a big plus. The location is excellent, near everything, very easy to find. The house is just as pictured, very pretty, comfortable beds, and spotless. There are little stores nearby if you need supplies, lots of shops, and tons of restaurants. Vanja’s recommendations really helped. We had dinner at Restaurant Rudjer, Nishta, Taj Mahal & Dalmatino - they were all really good. We are so happy we stayed at Mia Casa.

Excellent location. For about $20 the owner could drastically improve the experience by simply swapping out all the blue fluorescent hospital light bulbs with the normal soft yellow bulbs that match the charming old world decor

Very quirky space. Lots of knick-knacks. There was artwork hanging everywhere there was an empty space (even on ceiling), and kind of a mish-mash of decorations. Advertised as step-free, yet the only way to get to the bedrooms is a narrow, steep staircase. The upstairs en-suite bathroom was not convenient to use. It is a step up from the bedroom floor. The bathroom door is a shower curtain. the shower is just a showerhead in the wall. It is not separated from the rest of the bathroom because it is too small. You have to remove everything in the bathroom before you shower or it will get wet. The sink is so small and the faucet is big that you will make a mess trying to do anything in the sink. It is a small space (think RV bathroom.) The bed is comfortable, the location is wonderful, and the other bathrooms are more functional.
