Great stay!
Accurate listing, good communication with owner, beautiful location. Cabin was comfortable, Wi-Fi worked great, which is nice since it’s a cellular dead zone. Make sure to bring food and drink (coffee grounds too) because there’s nothing around for many miles. We arrived at night in a storm, so we just rushed into the cabin. It wasn’t until the next morning that we realized there was a nice, separate room with a king bed on the back of the cabin. We ended up not even using that area since we were already settled into the main area. Overall a very nice stay.

Excellent Secluded Fishing Destination
My husband and I rented this cabin, hoping for a secluded cabin, away from society, for our honeymoon. Boy, were we happy when we arrived! Such a cute, small place, far enough away from people and town that you don’t run in to others, unless you want to, yet close enough to town for gas, groceries, dinner out, and booking fishing trips with local guides. Surrounded by national forest and the Windriver Reservation, outdoor activities abound as hiking trails, UTV/ATV trails, and public access for fishing are all within close proximity of the cabin. But have no fear-if you don’t want to leave the cabin, there’s excellent fishing in the Wind River 25 yards from the back porch! Both my husband and I caught nice cutthroat trout, the best ones on our trip, in the river just behind the cabin. We found this place well stocked with all necessities and loved relaxing by the fire pit on cool, non-windy evenings. The outdoor picnic table was perfect for evening dinner and the back porch sitting area was an amazing place for coffee and breakfast. Families may find this place a bit cramped for space, as there wasn’t an area for dining in the cabin, but for the outdoor enthusiast, or for couples, you wouldn’t miss the dining area one bit. Because we enjoyed the area and the cabin so much, we plan to make this a regular vacation spot! Thanks to the host for such a lovely stay!

Gorgeous, private location, comfortable cabin
My husband and I are an older couple who love fly fishing. We found this rustic yet comfortable cabin perfect for a peaceful vacation, and as a hub for adventures fishing, kayaking, local shopping , and rock hounding in western Wyoming. Fishing in the beautiful Wind River was not great in late August, but that may be a statement about our abilities rather than the river itself. I highly recommend staying at this unique and private property.

Jake was a wonderful guest and I'm happy I got to meet him while he was there. He came to fish but the weather didn't cooperate - it rarely, if ever, rains in Dubois but he got our two days of the year:( He kept his spirits up and enjoyed the quiet of the property and river. Look forward to his return for more fishing!

Easy to find but middle of nowhere.
We were visiting Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. This property is a long drive from both. Nice and clean property. Ree was great at communicating with us. This cabin is tucked down away from the road right next to the river. The add on cabin was a great addition with a family of teenagers. It gave some much needed time alone space. Just wish it would have had a TV.

Little Piece of Heaven - very clean & very comfortable!
We enjoyed this property and our interactions with Ree and Wade immensely! The decor of both the cabin and extra master bedroom is beautifully rustic. More importantly, the cabin is very, very comfortable and extremely clean. We did not use the master bedroom addition because the main cabin had everything (& more!) we needed to stay comfortably for 7 nights. The bed was very comfortable, even for me with permanent back and knee injuries from a car accident. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we cooked at the cabin 6 nights out of 7. This beautiful property is virtually on the Wind River. Hearing the sound of the river as we fell asleep and awoke was refreshing and relaxing. This property feels like it's isolated because of being down and away from the highway and other cabins or residences, but it was an easy 15-minute drive to DuBois to a very nice, well-stocked grocery store, fly-shops and restaurants. It is also within a quick drive to Grand Tetons National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson. When we arrived, the river behind the cabin appeared to be perfect for fly fishing. Unfortunately, it rained uncustomarily heavy the first few days of our stay. While we couldn't fish behind the cabin until the last couple of days, we found other tributaries in which to fly fish daily. We hope to visit Ree and Wade again soon! Judy & Scott

My husband and I take a vacation every fall. This year we were looking for a way to relax, enjoy the outdoors and stay away from the crowds. We fell in love with Dubois and this property from the second we arrived. The cabin was spotless and met every one of our needs. We spent many hours sitting outside, next to the river, in the beauty of the red rocks canyon. The owners kindly provide several different seating options outdoors, along with a nice grill so we could cook our own meals. The inside of the cabin is comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. We stayed here for three nights, but could have easily stayed for a couple of weeks. The owner (Ree) was extremely warm, welcoming and responsive. We would return to this cabin in a heartbeat!

Nice location and beautiful scenery
Beautiful scenery and nice cabin. Completely private in back. Probably because of mid September it seemed to be over fished. Enjoyed looking at the selection of books. Nice how close location is to Dubois, Tetons, Yellowstone and Shoshone. My only complaint was I got mixed up on directions after driving so far and dialed three of the numbers on the sheet for contacts and every call kicked into voicemail. Since it was 8:00 and dark I had to stay in a motel I normally wouldn’t sleep for $81. Otherwise, a nice place.

Red Rock location is in some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen.
Great vacation for our first time out west. The river and cliffs in the back yard are breathtaking, and cabin was great. Rustic and serviceable but that's what we wanted. It's location is perfect for exploring. Some of the best sights are right in the area. If you go, check out The 25mile dirt road to two brothers cabin campsite, ask in Dubois, we did it in a dodge charger, road good. Breathtaking views at every turn. BRING BEAR SPRAY on these trips! Brooks lake is another ride about 30 minutes away, about 5 miles of dirt. Yellowstone about 1.5 hours away. We crossed continental divide about 18 times in 7 days. Don't miss Jenny lake at the base of the Tetons. We stayed at cabin every other day to rest and enjoy, it was one of the prettiest places we saw. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that loves the outdoors. Fly fishing is great everywhere in the area. I caught trout right in back yard. I think I took 2000 pictures. There are a few places to eat in Dubois. If you want bars and restaurants stay in Jackson . My wife and I agree this was one of our best vacations ever.

DO NOT STAY HERE..TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH ..BUYER BEWARE
The listing is a complete and total misrepresentation including their map showing it just North of town ... It's 15 miles south of town. I finally got directions 2 days before I left on my trip even though I had booked and paid to stay at this property months in advance... WHY ALL THE SECRECY? Had I really known where it was actually located I NEVER would have tried to stay here.. Great views of the neighbors trash and junk and double wide trailer! Driveway is a lousy un- maintained dirt and gravel road with a 10 + degree slope that is dangerous and impassable. Good luck if it rains. If you are on a motorcycle other than a dirt bike I hope you have good insurance. Total bait and switch by these people. We ended up getting a motel room in town and they refused to give us any of our our money back. They sell real estate too so watch out. These people are not from Wyoming so please do not confuse them from the real people that are.. BUYER BEWARE!!

So cute and remote!
Although we had a difficult time finding the cabin (drove around town for over an hour!) We were pleasantly surprised once we got there. The water seems to be pretty high with sulfur, but there is a Brita to filter your drinking water. Be sure to look out for a red wooden canoe labeled "Red Rocks"...that is actually where you will want to turn to find the cabin. It is tucked away down by the river (you can't see it from the road) and If you put the address in your GPS it will not bring you anywhere near the cabin. It has everything you could need once you get there!

We are glad you found us! We provide detailed directions in our cabin information book because it is so hidden (which makes it so wonderful). The boat is used as a landmark (boat is green with "Red Rocks" written in red - a cute little feature to help locate). I'm not sure what was up with the water. We test often and have never found sulphur or had an issue. There is a water treatment system and the filter is replaced monthly. Will surely see what's going on with that. Some guests are uncomfortable with drinking well water (especially if coming from a city with a municipal water source) so the Brita filter offers a solution for that if desired. We're thrilled you enjoyed the private location on the river (once you found it:). It's a perfect hideaway spot! We hope to see you again - summers are nice, too:) Happy Trails, Ree Beavers, Owner/Wind River Property Group, LLC

Perfect for my needs.
71 year old male, traveling alone. I couldn't have drawn it up in a dream an had it any better. Wind river sounds just outside the bedroom. First day wasted driving to Jackson Hole. Too many tourists. 3 great days of trail riding on forestry service roads, right from the cabin. 3 totally different landscapes. Fire pit was an added touch. Only one of the 3 cabins I had on this trip that had WIFI and TV. Amazon Firestick worked better that at home. I have a policy about a great vacation from many years ago, You simply can't repeat it. But this is one I would try again. I had 4,907 glorius miles this dtrip and it was all awsome.

Rustic with a great riverside location.
Enjoyed the stay tremendously. Cabin was right sized for the 2 of us but additional people for the hideaway bed would have been a bit tight. River and bluff views were great and we had champagne in lawnchairs on the riverbank at sunset. Mileage from Crowheart general store was 14.5 miles and not 10 miles as stated in the directions. Would have been tricky to find at night but the boat was easy to see during the day. Didn't start a fire due to restrictions. Dubois was a great little town.
