The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast was enjoyable and very good. However, the room was noisy and lacked soundproofing. It was fairly clean and the bathroom was pleasant, but there was a lot of noise and very little quiet, which made it difficult to sleep.

Hotel has a very good location Shop and food around hotel which are opened late so you don't have to move far to grab some food Hotel is clean and rooms are big and comfortable. Only problem is that hotel doesn't say that it's also a long bar with very loud music in the evening until late in the night Unfortunately loud music and bass can be heard in your bed. Sometimes I surprised myself singing some of their songs

The hotel is just a five minute walk from the Mall of the Emirates. All the big landmarks was a short taxi ride away. The room was clean and of a good size. Many thanks to Muhammed who kept our room nice and clean, and made sure we always had enough towels.

A+ for the Donatello

Another excellent stay and thank you for the upgrade. The evening Concierge was absolutely fantastic entertaining my children whilst we checked in. Definitely stay here again, even with renovations going on.

Hotel served its purpose for us. We only stayed two nights. Didn’t get to use the pool. Tried the fisherman’s restaurant and room service. It was ok. Convenient to have a coffee shop on site.

Wonderful, convenient hotel in Dubai

Nice, clean hotel. Huge rooms with balcony with nice bathroom. The people at the front desk were very kind. Easy to go around Dubai. Ten minutes walk to the train stations, Malls, Museum of the Future, and more. It is a safe area with a lot of small shopping and restaurants. Tranquil room. Nice pool to chill out. Starbucks in the lobby area.

It’s for budget travelers, so don’t expect the hotel to be like the near by Kempinski or Sheraton. Staff is always courteous and willing to assist, but the dreadful check in (took so long that I still have nightmare) needs be addressed, otherwise I will not revisit even if it is for free

The hotel is old and it seems that the Management is not interested to fix the issues for example. The room had mold in the bathroom. The Informationens about the hotel at the Webside of expedia are not right. They have a shuttle but only to the mall not the other destinations like jbr beach. It was 1 main reason to book this hotel. The pool had also different opeding times that dont match with the Webside. The staff was very kind and friendly and always helpful anytime

It is difficult to get your luggage as there is a steep ramp and many bellman but nobody offered assistance. 5 bellman all starring at me. No assistance. The only time they asked me was the day I was leaving when I carried heavy luggage to the street. They then asked me if I needed it lifted into a taxi- no. Elevators- very slow only two operational Front desk -friendly only when I checked out. I asked for the deposit to be released and they truly didn’t know what I was talking about. They hold a 300AED deposit. Pool- great. Peaceful. Room-spacious. Only one towel. That’s it. No soap or anything I’ve been travelling to DXB since 2005 and this was the worst experience.

This is the first time in two years I make a critical comment about a hotel I have stayed in Dubai. The entrance was undergoing works and visitors had to go through a little door on the side leading to a dirty service corridor. The corridors on the 6th floor where I was staying had pieces of paper and plastic on the carpet. What was the most disappointing was the breakfast: food such as scrambled eggs and sausages were oily and seemed exposed for too long. The breakfast room was dark and drab. The selection of food for breakfast was small. Coffee was basically ditchwater and one had to pay extra for cappucino and expresso, generally available for free at most 3 or 4 star hotels after paying the breakfast fee. Bed mattresses were soft and not very ergonomic for the back. The supposed king-sized bed was in fact two beds side-by-side.Half of the machines at the gym were not working and there was no personnel available there to check them out. The swimming pool was pleasant though...

Great hotel friendly staff but needs a little TLC.

On the positives, a nice large room with good bathroom. Nice breakfast choice, tasty and again, friendly and helpful staff. Able to order additional items such as omelettes but this was not mentioned and only knew as I saw staff walking out the kitchen with food orders. On the downside, the bathroom needed a bit of TLC, the toilet seat was loose and moved as one bolt was missing. The hot water is a manual system, you need to turn it on and wait some minutes to get hot. Not ideal if you are in a rush in the morning. So you leave it on all night, which is not ecofriendly. And when it was hot, the flow was much reduced to a slow trickle. The gym had lots of equipment, but lots of items not working. 3 of the 4 treadmills were out of order. Luckily when I went the one working was free. Also, no water machine or towles and only tissues avaialble to clean the equipment after. However, I got what I needed from it, as only user each time. On the last night the people in the adjacent room had a party that went on all night, full volume Indian tunes waking me at 1:30, 3 and then 5 but as I was going I let them get on with it. Not the hotels fault, but I wonder if anybody else complained and if so, what they would have done about it. Overall good stay, I would consider staying there again.

This is a pleasant hotel in an older section of the city. There are local flavor resturants walking distance from the hotel. The onsite resturants are lacking. The hotel rooms do not have heat ( its the desert) but the AC is over powering in the winter months. Keeping the system off is not a good option due to air quality.

The room absolute stank of cigarettes on the “non smoking floor” and they couldn’t move me or do anything about it. The pool side service was non existent and no menus etc. The staff weren’t friendly and the amenities just seemed run down

The size of the room was acceptable but the default for 3 adults was a king bed, they provided a portable bed free of charge which improved the situation. The mattress of the portable bed was in terrible shape and had huge stains on it. They accepted to replace it. While we booked the room for 3 people, the glasses, coffee mugs and towels were provided for 2 people and we needed to constantly remind the staff. In more than one instance the "clean" towels had stains on them. They did not provide conditioner and body lotion was not there either. Breakfast buffet was very limited and not with many healthy options.
