EXCEPTIONAL 6 BEDROOM LAKEFRONT HOME

Enjoy the serenity of Treasure Lake in this spacious lakefront 6 bedroom, 4 full bath home in the midst of the Pennsylvania Wilds. In the backyard, you will see deer, ducks, geese and the occasional blue heron or bald eagle. Swim from the backyard, the white sandy beach or the Lakeview Lodge pool. Fish for bass, northern pike, perch and sunfish from the private dock. In addition to lake activities, Treasure Lake features two PGA rated golf courses, tennis courts and pickleball courts.

The house is convenient to several parks including Cook Forest State Park, Parker Dam State Park, Bilger's Rocks, Dubois City Park and the elk viewing area in Benezette and is the perfect location if attending a wedding at Treasure Lake's Lakeview Lodge. Multiple families have stayed at the house to attend Penn State graduations.

The main floor has 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, a murphy bed and 1 full bath.

- Bed linens for all beds and 14 sets of towels (bath towel, hand towel, wash cloth) are provided
- Please bring your own beach towels.
- There is a washer/dryer onsite to do laundry during your stay. Detergent is not supplied.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, flatware, Keurig coffee maker (K-cups not provided), drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, and teapot. Kitchen washcloths and towels are provided.

The great room is highlighted by cedar plank walls and cathedral ceilings with a gas log fireplace and smart TV and leads to the large covered porch which overlooks the lake.

The lower level is the perfect kid's hangout with a pool table, ping-pong table, foosball table, TV area and gas log fireplace.

Swim, fish and boat from the back yard with the two provided kayaks and paddle boat.
- We have several life jackets but recommend that you bring your own for children to assure proper fit.
- The lake is about 4'-5' deep at the end of the dock, so no diving.
- Fishing is catch and release. A PA fishing license is required and may be purchased online or locally at Walmart.

PLEASE NOTE: To protect against invasive species, no outside boats, (powered or non-powered), and no outside kayaks or paddleboards are permitted in Treasure Lake. However, in addition to the kayaks and paddle boat available at the house, additional paddleboards, paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks are available to rent at the marina through Labor Day.

8 Pool/Beach passes are provided for access to the Lakeview Lodge Pool which is open to guests Monday-Thursday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The pool is a 5 minute walk from the house. A guest pass is not required for children under 2. The Lakeview Lodge pool is reserved for property owners Fri-Sun and on holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: Treasure Lake was lowered by 10' for dredging at the end of 2024 and will be unavailable for use during the 2025 season while the lake refills. During the 2025 season, the Pool/Beach passes may also be used Monday-Thursday at the Bimini Lake beach (7 minute drive from the house) and at the Cayman Campground pool (9 minute drive from the house). Guests may also wish to visit the large Dubois city pool or nearby Parker Dam State Park while lake levels are low in 2025. See their websites for details.

* No Pet Policy. This is our personal vacation home which we use frequently. Due to a family member with severe allergies, the home is strictly an animal-free zone.

* Overnight occupancy of campers or trailers in the driveway is not permitted by the HOA. Treasure Lake has a separate campground (Cayman Landing) for trailers.

Home is exceptional from location on lake, to being a comfortably furnished house, very clean, including a well equipped kitchen, and the grandchildren loving the pool table, ping pong table, foosball table and big backyard to play in and then sitting comfortably around a fire every night making s'mores and enjoying all the deer walk around us. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be coming back again in the future.

We were very happy with everything at the house. It had plenty of room for 12 adults. We liked the game room. We had a pool tournament and a ping pong tournament. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed. All of the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

Great time to be had for all! The Pool Table, Ping Pong Table, & Foosball Table are in mint condition. Owner & Housekeeper are super friendly and extremely helpful!Property was perfectly clean on arrival and had ample room for all of us. The lake was drained during our stay, but even with that, it was still an amazing till. Plenty of room to store food, and all the cookware you could possibly need is available to you.Overall, the perfect place to have a perfect vacation.

Golf Weekend

The house was immaculate with beautiful bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is plenty of space, the house is definitely bigger than it looks from the outside. Centrally located for the gold and silver golf courses. We would definitely stay here again!

Great family gathering

September Trip

We really enjoyed our stay here. We went to a Penn State game Saturday night and it was very convenient to stay an hour away from State College, rather than driving 3.5 hours home. The house was clean, spacious and had all we needed. The kids really enjoyed the ping pong table, foosball, and air hockey. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood as well! We hope to come back again!

Great Lake House

We had a fantastic stay with friends for a week on the lake. The house was clean and owner attentive to any possible issues. Great location for the kids to swim and paddle around on the kayaks and paddle boat. We enjoyed fires in the evening and relaxing on the large deck during the day.

Beautiful House and Property

The house was immaculate and included everything for a comfortable stay including extras like kitchen supplies, nice bathroom towels, games, kayaks and firewood. The view from the covered deck is majestic and we saw lots of wildlife on the property. The owner, John, was accommodating and quick to respond to questions. We would love to spend another weekend here.

Fantastic Stay

The house was recently updated, the bathrooms and bedrooms were great, the open floor plan of the common areas (kitchen, dining room, living room) is great for groups. This is one of the nicest VRBO rentals we have ever stayed in, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our only suggestion would be to include more beds, however, the basement is very large and can accommodate air mattresses if needed. Thanks for a great stay!

Family Vacation by the Lake

The whole family enjoyed the week in the house by Treasure Lake. They had fun fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the lake. The owner was very responsive to some minor issues that we had. We would definitely stay there again and in fact we did stay there previously, 2 years ago.

Wonderful Family Christmas weekend

This house was the perfect place for our family to make great memories and continue our weekend family Christmas. We travel up from SC to spend this weekend with our children and grandchildren. Family Reunion

The home fit our family perfectly, we all had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to enjoy our time together. Very comfortable, clean and location close to front gate. Kayaks and pedal boat were used by all. Very happy with owners response to an issue that needed attention.

Really nice relaxing place. We had a problem with the renters before us, left the trash cans full so it was infested with maggots. Other than that the place was well equipped, and clean. Enjoyable week.

John is the best

The communication and assistance with the host, John Truxal, was above and beyond! The house was spotlessly clean, perfectly appointed with kitchen items, bathroom towels and more. Better than expected!!! Thank you, John, for a more than perfect "venue" for Pop's 90th birthday weekend! He said that this was the best birthday party of his life - small and personal.

Beautiful house, great host

The property was nice, grandkids and all loved the wildlife that came to see us daily. Only downfall was that we all couldn't do all things together. Because we had a large family(12} we couldn't all go to the pool or beach together. We also had 2 people on a paddleboat ask my grandkids why they were fishing because it is a catch and release lake.. Overall if this house was at another location would highly recommend it. Or if you have a smaller family.

Great place for a family getaway!

This is truly a 5 star property. The house is beautiful and the lake access is easy. The beds are comfortable and the sheets and towels were very clean. The entire property was clean. The owners provide for your every need...tissues and extra toilet paper in every bathroom, night lights in every room, paper towels, a cupboard full of spices, any utensil-plate-pan you would need, even firewood. Because nothing can be perfect I will mention two things...neither are reasons to stay away. We were short 2 towels and the owner immediately offered to send some over. It was not necessary because one of our group had not left their house yet and were able to bring some. We only mentioned it because we felt that for the $300.00 cleaning fee the cleaning service should be more aware. We also wished there were more water crafts. The very nice 2 kayaks and 1 paddle boat were not enough for our family of 14. Totally not the owners fault...the owners association of Treasure Lake does not allow outside water craft or we would have gladly brought our own, licensed, kayaks. That said, the weekend went too fast because we were so comfortable!

Wonderful Penn State Graduation Stay for All

We booked this location for my son’s State College graduation. He started off in DuBois for 2 years from California so all of my family plus a few inlaws came to stay with us. The house and space was perfect with so much open space we never felt cramped. The fully done basement with games and comfortable living area was amazing for the younger adults to sleep and hang out in, as if they had their own place. The kitchen was fully equipped and served our purposes with no issue. We had a total of 11 adults and one toddler and no one seemed to get in another’s way. The upgrades throughout were beautifully done, especially the bathrooms. We had a chance to utilize the firepit which everyone loved. John answered my questions quickly and I appreciated his hosting of our special event. Thank you! I highly recommend this property for any larger gathering.
