We stopped to see the famous ceremonial pulpit of Punxsutawney Phil, the mythical groundhog in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. We have all seen Bill Murray in Groundhog Day but the ceremony of Phil's prognostication does not actually take place in town like the movie suggests but two miles east of town at the unusually named Gobblers Knob. The Movie was actually not even filmed in Punxsutawney but in Woodstock, Illinois. The Groundhog Day celebration has its in Celtic tradition. Small room but clean and comfortable. Inexpensive and the bathroom was very quaint all tiles and I appreciate the throwback to the 60s vibe. Would definitely stay there again

The DuBois Manor Motel was a nice stay. The heating system is a little wonky and outdated, but works fine. The staff worked hard to resolve any issues I had. Would stay here again.

Downtown is in walking distance has a steak and seafood restaurant next door the manager was friendly and very helpful

super stay at a great price

had everything I needed. was spot less clean and very comfy. price was very reasonable. anything you could want or need was close by. bed was firm but comfortable. had a pleasant decor, other people there very friendly, especially staff. plenty of HOT water. only down side pillows were quite small, needed bigger or more of them. will definitely stay there again if in area

Not Great--But Not Terrible

The room had three queen beds, which was just what we wanted. There was a lack of updating and maintenance and it was mostly clean and the heat worked great. There was little lighting, no amenities like shampoo or lotion, no daily cleaning, sheets the wrong size for some of the beds. It served our purposes and it was not terrible.

Great value

Great simple room that was perfect for a night where all I needed was a long, hot shower and good night sleep. No-frills but had everything I needed. Room had a refrigerator and microwave, which was nice although I didn’t use them. I would have preferred a coffee machine. Bed was comfortable, Shower worked great and everything was clean. Was a great value I would stay there again.

Nice clean room, an excellent value for the money. I was pleasantly surprised by this motel. No loud customers and a peaceful stay. The bed was comfortable and staff was friendly as well. I would rate this motel a 4 1/2 stars only because of the weird power line that was a bit low in front of the room so you had to duck under if you wanted to go straight to the car and one piece that was missing was a microwave oven. Otherwise the bathroom was well stocked and it was impeccably clean throughout the room, the most important aspect for me.

It's not great but it's not bad! Feels like you're staying in a friend's basement. So it was perfect place to stay for a night. I would stay again if I was in the area. Pros: The sheets were clean, the bathroom was well stocked with towels (bring your own shampoo), the water pressure was good, the temperature was easily controlled. The TV was nice, there's a small fridge, and there's a microwave. Cons: the bed and pillows are very stiff, the sheets were very thin, and the curtains didn't close very well so let a lot of light in.
