A short train ride into the city and easy walking distance to the train station. Lots of fresh food at the markets nearby and the accommodation was spacious, clean and quiet. Construction work in the streets nearby was not a noise issue at all.
Would have liked a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a clothes dryer for convenience but managed without both.

Melbourne is generally safe. This hotel is in a shady part of town. Arguments on street at night. AC/heater did not work, so they sent up a portable one that worked fine. There is no sin on the street; after five minutes of walking past it many times, we asked locals, and they pointed far up to a YEHS sign.

Tram stop out the front. Woolworths across the street. Great pub for dinner at tap86.
Apartment was clean, quiet, easy to access.

Definitely would recommend the apart-hotel and would stay again. Nice to have everything provided. Great options for the breakfast, nice wine at the happy hour, and nice to be able to grab a takeaway coffee from the guest lounge at any time. Good size apartment with everything you need. Close walk to shopping and dining options.
