Great getaway from the city
My kids and I spent a great Easter weekend there. Eddy was a excellent host, very accomodating, the place is exactly as described and conveniently located not far to Kyneton but in a peaceful and beautiful place, perfect to relax for a few days. Will gladly come back!

A weekend away
A very comfortable cottage in peaceful surrounds as described with great facilities. Also a very friendly host only too happy to tell us about the history & construction of the cottage. It suited our needs perfectly & we will certainly recommend it to others.

exceeded all expectations
My wife and 12 yo son stayed there on the long weekend. Meticulous modern cottage. It was super clean with attention to detail that we had not seen anywhere else..range of shampoos, chocolates, coffee pods, wifi, air con and the list goes on. Eddy obviously has put so much thought into this place with TLC. We were worried it was too far from Kyneton but just a short scenic 10 min drive. Peaceful with stunning rural views.each room had modern TV and fridge as well.It was a great experience and wish my house was as nice as this!

Great place to stay
This was our second stay at this excellent, character-filled rammed-earth cottage and we will be back again. The rooms look out across peaceful countryside and the only sound is birdsong. It is completely private from the main building. Parking is at the door. The spacious main room has a king bed, table & chairs and an area for making coffee and breakfast + a microwave. There is an adjacent BBQ area with another table and chairs. The second bedroom is also quite roomy and has a Q bed. It also has coffe/tea making facilities and a microwave. Hanging space is very limited. I recommend this cottage as a really good place to use as a base for touring the Kyneton area or visiting friends, as we did. Sue

Eddy was a great host and allowed us to check in earlier to accommodate for us to get ready before the wedding with no rush. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the property was very clean with the pleasant surprise of little chocolates and biscuits waiting for us. 1st time I have stayed at a place like this and it was definitely a great experience to book again. Lovely to have some coffee and dishwashing liquid etc too. Good water pressure in the shower! And very hospitable owners (who we didn’t meet but had lovely communication with). Overall really great and would happily stay again. We are at the Albion Pub in Kyneton - also highly recommend - food delicious and kitchen completely gluten free/ intolerance friendly … very lovely chef too who came to our table to confirm the ‘nor garlic or onion’ request .. Maybe a small sign pointing to ‘cottage’ would be helpful but we found it ok!

Beauty, comfort and peace
Two very comfy rooms were clean and well appointed for such a small accommodation. A well established garden provided great privacy while allowing a lovely view of the surrounding farmland. We loved watching a variety of native birds in the garden and the sheep in the paddock down the hill - so very relaxing... and quiet. When we arrived the heating was on in both rooms and also in the bathroom - a very thoughtful gesture by the owner on a cool afternoon. Plenty of towels, great water pressure and HOT water. TV in both rooms, and chocolates and biscuits were a nice touch on arrival too. We were visiting the area for a function, but would love to come back and stay at this property again, just because it is such a relaxing, private place to unwind and take a break from the suburbs. Highly recommend.

we had a lovely weekend here, the house was warm when we arrived and the beds comfortable. The garden outside is beautiful, and we enjoyed the country walks. a great area to visit, and this was the perfect location to base ourselves.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful little cottage. It was warm and cosy, and everything had been thought of from toiletries, to good quality coffee machine, plenty of cosy pillows and cushions and fluffy towels. The surrounds were picturesque and peaceful. The owner was very communicative, friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here and will be back again.

Wonderful cosy country cottage.
From the rammed earth, cosy cottage looking out over paddocks with sheep and kangaroos up close, our stay was all that we could have asked for. It was a Winters' day when we arrived and Eddie had the heaters on, so very warm and inviting as we entered the door. Everything spotlessly clean and fresh. Comfortable beds, TVs, Internet available, all we could want. Then at night, to go out into the garden, to see the clear sky with all the vivid star display, which we couldn't see at home with street lights in town. Eddie was extremely accommodating with arrival and departure times. We could ask for nothing more in our country escape.

Convenient stay for one night
Property was clean and cosy, and host Eddy was very helpful. Perfect for just one night. Note that there is no lounge room - just two bedrooms (one with a table and chairs) and the bathroom.

Quiet and Cozy cottage
Simple but perfect for our needs, This cottage met all the requirements my partner and i needed. Two comfortable beds, heating/cooling and enough space to get ready for my partner’s sister’s wedding day. After the celebration, we could come back go the cottage and relax, have a good sleep then head home well rested. Eddy the host was very accommodating with check in time flexibility so we could get to the wedding on time. Much appreciated. Definitely worth the money for one night. Happy to book again next time we’re in the area.

Such a lovely place from which to explore the Goldfields. Easy access to the quaint town of Kyneton and not too far from Castlemaine either. Cottage is comfortable and well appointed. Eddy was a very accommodating host and the kids loved exploring the short walks nearby.

Eddy, the host, was marvelous in accommodating my requests. He arranged so we could arrive earlier as the wedding we were attending started at 4pm, which is normal check intime. The little touches such as the chocolates on our bed upon arriving was a pleasant and yummy surprise. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage tucked away in the country side. I would not recommend this cottage for a family as there isn't a dedicated living room. Thanks Eddy

Over Priced and Uncomfortable
It appeared to have originally been a single bedroom with a lounge room. The latter has been turned into a second bedroom with very poor to almost non existing kitchen facilities. One not very comfortable chair or you have to sit at the dining table or on bed in the same room. The whole place is very poorly set up. Very disappointing.

We are very sorry to have our first unhappy guest, the premises were always a 2 bedroom cottage , it is described as a bed sit with a kitchenette , In short, a kitchenette is basically a smaller version of a kitchen. A kitchenette contains main appliances like a microwave and a small refrigerator. Sometimes it might have a sink and/or an oven, but generally, it lacks a stove, a larger refrigerator, and quite a bit less storage space. we are sorry if the guests assumed that it had a kitchen and lounge room,
