1st time staying near Driftwood , and we loved the quiet up on the hill . Everything about the house was great . We grilled and cooked in and enjoyed the porch! Kids played in nearby creek . Had lots of turkeys visit and a few deer. Could hear elk bugle nearby.

This was our second stay at the property and it was great again. Owners have been great to work with. It’s clean, quiet, and has everything you need for a trip to elk territory.

Weekend getaway

We had a great weekend at the lodge. Saw lots of deer and Turkey around the area. We walked the Fred Woods Trail in the snow which was beautiful. Can’t wait to book it again for next year.

Elk Shed Camp 2025

Marine Corps Brothers annual trip to Benezette in search of elk sheds. We spend hours in the woods and hiking to the meadows in the high country looking for sheds. Although this is our 5th year and again it was unsuccessful we have already booked next years trip. This is by far the BEST VRBO we have stay at in the area and look forward to doing it all over again next year!

Perfect Get-Away

The cabin was perfect. So clean and inviting. It had all the feel of a cabin but with the comforts of home. We truly enjoyed our stay. As always, the owner Seth was great with communication. We will continue to rent off Seth for years to come. Thank you for yet another beautiful cabin.

This place is perfect for the outdoor enthusiasts

This place is clean and layed out well. Plenty of space & bathrooms for everybody to get ready and out in the woods early am. The kitchen is spacious and open. Only thing we missed is a pool table or some entertainment when winding down in the evenings. Overall a great place like these owners other properties we have stayed in.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the Barr Top Lodge. Just what we needed to getaway and relax. We enjoyed the fresh 5 inches of snow Saturday morning and took a hike through the mountains and then drove over to the Top of the World overlook. It felt like you were able to touch the clouds. We would highly recommend staying at any of the Barr Lodge locations. Thanks Steve

Extended family getaway

It is a beautiful property. Not just new but smart design. Two king bedrooms, very smart, a family bedroom with two singles and a queen, very smart because little ones dont want to be alone in a new place. Every convenience there is. Wonderful private but not isolated location. Had a wonderful time.

Childhood Friends Reunion

The peaceful sense of serenity is exactly what we needed after 2 days of the 100 Mile Yard Sales! The kitchen was well equipped (maybe needed a large kettle to cook corn on the cob). The beds were roomy, and the bathrooms were well stocked. The pool table got a lot of use, and the parking area was large enough for all our vehicles. Our favorite place was the porch!

Long need family trip.

I used to come up here all the time as a child. I wanted to take my dad and his brother up. I found this place and seen it was pretty close to our old camp. I was beyond thrilled to find out where it was located and how beautiful it really was on top of the mountain. It was incredibly easy to find because that's the same road we turn off to get to our old camp. Everything about this property was perfect and I can't wait to come back with my wife and kids

October 1-4

When we arrived we were wowed by the beautiful lodge. The road up is a little narrow, but we did it just fine. It was so peaceful. Maybe 3-4 cars a day went by. The covered deck is so wonderful. We sat outside on the deck every night till it was completely dark. Sooo relaxing. We would stay again for sure. We appreciate how fast the hosts would get back to us if we had a question. Thank you for renting to us.
