Other Things to Note:

***Even though the cabin sits along the beautiful Big Thompson River, water conservation is a necessity. The well that serves the property goes almost 200 feet below ground. It produces an average of 30 gallons per hour. With no laundry on site, washing dishes in the sink and toilet flushes are the major water usages. There is reliably enough water for 2 seven minute showers an hour. There is a small holding tank to keep the pump from constantly running, but responsible water consumption is important in this high mountain desert. Please don’t fill the bath tub or run the hose in order to help preserve this resource.

My daughter and I loved staying in Big Pine Cabin. We were in Estes for the weekend and this home was conveniently close and also peacefully away from town. The front yard had a river and backyard view is forest. It’s perfectly serene and beautiful!

2025 Family summer vacation

Wonderful, convenient spot to explore the Rocky Mountain National Park. Loved staying here! Beautiful surroundings and centrally located a couple miles outside of Estes Park! My teenage sons enjoyed fishing the river in front of the cabin. Big Pine checked all the boxes to make a successful family vacation.

Great location

The house was incredibly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Its location just down the road from Estes Park was ideal, offering easy access to shopping, dining, and numerous activities for kids.The only minor concerns I had were related to privacy and comfort. There were security cameras positioned in various directions, including the backyard, which made me feel a bit exposed. While I understand the need for security, it did impact the sense of privacy. Additionally, the house was quite warm, and there were no fans available, so I was grateful we had brought a few small ones with us.Overall, our stay was good, and we would likely consider staying there again if we're in the area.

Nice cabin outside Estes

This is a nice cabin located just outside of RMNP and Estes Park. It sits on the river and was a very clean property. The fireplace was nice to have, as it was quite cold in the evenings. The only thing I would say I didn't pay enough attention to is the the river sits in front of the house, so there was no escaping the road noise or traffic. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay!

Sadly, I did not receive any check-in information. PMI sent me instructions that went to my Junk mail, which I dont check through often. I called their office on check-in day (Sunday) 3 separate times requesting check-in information, they NEVER returned my call. I left messages everytime, but NO return calls or emails. We finally got into our cabin an HOUR after check-in time I had to go to the PMI office on Monday to find out WHY I was not called back on Sunday. Ariel had even given me her cell # just incase I needed her help. She NEVER called back or answered her phone. NO ONE EVER called me back after all of this. Very Dissatisfied with Host, not VRBO
