The place was beautiful we were there for apple butter weekend at my uncles so didn’t spen too much time there but it was close to his place so very covenant. Very clean will definitely stay agian 😊
Overall great stay at this adorable cottage with so much more room than the pictures show! Tastefully decorated with all the kitchen amenities you will need. Beds are comfortable and the Hot Tub is a great feature after a long day of whatever you may want to do in the area! Koi pond and outdoor sitting areas are wonderful!! We had some rain so not as much outdoor sitting as we would have liked, but the covered patios made up for it! You can't go wrong with this beautiful property!!
This riverfront cottage was perfect for our four-day middle TN getaway! It was a short drive from our home in Knoxville, and was exactly what our family of four needed. The description on Vrbo matched the cottage precisely! Everything we could need was there, and we enjoyed playing one of the murder-mystery games that we found. The private dock was perfect for taking a float on the river. We were glad to see that after a review in June 2025 said there was no ladder on the dock, that the owner put one in. This was extremely helpful!! The hot tub worked well, and the cottage was super cozy. I especially enjoyed the top back porch every morning and evening: a perfect place to enjoy coffee and a book ... and later, wine and a book! Be sure to check out "Canoe the Caney," about 45 minutes NW in Silver Point for a day's long canoe/kayak trip. So fun! Also: Rock Island State Park has personal watercraft launch areas plus lookout points to see Great Falls and Twin Falls. We highly recommend stopping by Rock Island Trolley Stop for a tasty meal or to grab some ice cream. It's a one-of-a-kind set-up!!

Birthday celebration
We had a fantastic weekend celebrating my friends birthday. The location was wonderful; off the beaten path yet close to modern conveniences. Within 30 minutes to state parks for breathtaking hikes to the most beautiful waterfalls. A short drive to Sparta for plenty of restaurant options and 2 craft breweries. We really enjoyed Happy Trails. Their beer and food were amazing. The cabin was clean and spacious. Kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable and the living area easily accommodated 6 adults for movies and games. The hot tub was a treat after a long day of hiking Burgess and Fall Creek Falls. 3 things that future renters should know: 1) the camper hookup is not 30 or 50 amp service. It’s a standard 120V outlet which will not accommodate much more than a microwave. It will not run AC or interior lights of a camper. 2) the driveway is narrow and a little steep. We have a 3500 Silverado and being able to see getting up and down the driveway was a bit of a challenge. 3) the path leading to the river is steep and slippery. If you want easy access to the river, this is not the place. There is also no ladder from the water to the dock, so swimming is probably not an option unless you want to clamber up a muddy bank or are able to hoist your body weight onto the dock…which is a solid 2 feet. Again, just a fore-warning to future renters. We did not bring our camper or a boat. Nor did we think about swimming in the river. It was the perfect little hideaway for the 6 of us to celebrate our friends birthday. Will definitely keep this one at the top of our list for future adventures.
