Downtown Pawleys Island Hotels, Pawleys Island

"beware!!!!!! This hotel is under construction. If you are one sensitive to allergies do not stay at this hotel. the hotel was dirty and construction materials everywhere. I would have understood if they would have made us aware of the hotel being under construction. neither the hotel or hotels.com lets us know. I will not be using hotels.com or booking at this hotel again. Again be very aware my fiance and I got really sick from all of the construction debris. "

"Rooms were a little outdated, but it was very clean. Staff were nice, and it’s very family friendly. "

"The pool with the slides was very enjoyable. Being within steps of the ocean was amazing. The walls were very thin and you can hear conversations or the tv clearly from the other rooms. The place overall is a little rundown and could use a refresh. "

"Rooms are clean, and view of the ocean are good. Oceanfront, beach is great. Chairs and umbrellas are available to rent each day for a very reasonable price. Many restaurant options all in walking distance. Great beach town. "

"The breakfast was good...normal for a continental breakfast. Unfortunately that was the only place to get coffee....none in the room. The shower was touchy and the handle would move on it's own from warm to cold."

"The beach, restuarants, bars, etc were all lovely. The cleaning staff that took care of our room before checkin was awful. There were bobby-pins all over the room, no towels/washcloths or SHOWER CURTAIN...sand on the bed, although it looked to be new sheets, and trash still in one can. The front desk staff was quick to bring a new shower curtain but the towels and washcloths never came. We woke up the next morning to them in a bag outside the NEXT room's door. "
