We stayed here for my sister’s 79th birthday as she loves farmhouses. It was very clean and so comfortable and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our time there.
Once again we had a wonderful experience during our stay at Downingtown Manor. We have stayed here several times now and each time the property owners provide us a terrific experience. The Manor is a great location, has a historic house vibe and spacious enough for the four adults who stayed. Thanks again to Michele and Mark - great hosts
My friends and I absolutely adored our stay here. Downingtown is such a beautiful and charming town, and the house was gorgeous. We loved the inviting dining room and sun room looking over the creek. We enjoyed going out into the town for dinners and taking nice walks during the day at the park.
A beautiful home, clean, comfortabl in a great location. Large rooms, beautifully decorate meeting all our needs. It was so nice to not worry about needing the little things
Second stay! Such a lovely place with a beautiful sun room to enjoy morning coffee. Close to parks, restaurants and a great Farmers Market on Saturday morning during the summer.
Mark and Michele were so easy to communicate with and made their home very welcoming.
Downingtown Manor is perfectly located for a trip to the Brandywine/Longwood area of PA. The house is in charming Downingtown, with many terrific restaurants and pubs. Also surrounded by natural beauty, hikes, charming towns and country drives. The manor provides a relaxing and comfortable respite with a fabulous sunroom, including views over Brandywine Creek replete with bald eagles and gorgeous trees. The historic features of the house add to its charm and character. Comfortable furniture, beds and a well-stocked kitchen are added bonuses. Highly recommend!!
It was something out of a story book. The Downingtown Manor Farmhouse was amazing! We had the best holiday with our children and family near by. The Manor was very clean and had everything we needed. The big Kitchen farm table allowed us to gather and talk while enjoying our meals. The family room held all of us (5 adults) with room to spare around the fireplace and TV. Beds were comfortable in spacious bedrooms. We will be back for Thanksgiving! Thank you to the hosts!
This beautiful solid stone house is beautifully decorated with soothing colors; super quiet inside to relax and unwind. On Friday night, the local park had a live band for us to enjoy from the convenience of the comfy lounge furniture in the sunroom.
It's a close drive to major attractions (i.e.: Longwood Gardens, Vineyards with yoga on the lawn, pontoon ride on Marsh Creek Lake, etc.). The neighborhood is very walkable with pretty gardens to stop and enjoy. Morning chats with the neighbors yielded great gardening guidance!
The kitchen has everything to cook/bake. We loved gathering at the ample dining table every morning and evening.
Best treat was the quick two blocks walk to the local ice cream shop where service is "with a smile", free donut, and yummy flavors. Blueberry pomegranate was delicious! If you are a coffee lover, the kindred Farm coffee house next door offers a beautiful, restful spot to sip and enjoy fresh baked goods.
Hosts could not have been nicer with great communication. Tenant, Fred, on the lower level was friendly on our arrival and unobtrusive/elusive for our entire stay.
Our little group of four friends had plenty of room to spread out, call home, and read without intruding on each other.
This was our fourth stay at the historic Downingtown Manor. Each and every time has been fabulous. The house is well kept, very clean; stocked with plenty of amenities, great location and very responsive hosts. And this year the house was decorated very beautifully for Christmas.
This home was fabulous! The house was clean and inviting and even better than described. The hosts were very nice and left a welcome note and chocolates. Our family had a great time!
Amazing, old house! Super clean and comfortable, with plenty of room quietly nestled on top of the hill! Walking distance to downtown, highly reccomend this house and these hosts. They are very responsive while being extremely helpful. Fully stocked kitchen, with coffee maker that has coffee. Great place!
Kitchen was fully equipped and loved the Ice machine, since I am a big user of ice! Great dishes, silverware, etc. The only complaint my daughter and I had were the two fry pans! they were sooo hard to clean!
The house is charming! Wonderful indoor and outdoor seating spaces, especially the lovely glassed-in porch overlooking the river. Very spacious and in a great location. Mark and Michele were always quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. A great find in Downingtown with lovey hosts!! We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to stay there again in the future.
Really lovely home super clean and very neat I’ve stayed in many VRBO properties in the past 5 years and I put this one in the top 3 can’t say enough good things about this place I honestly felt like I was home I travel for work all the time and it’s so awesome to get a chance to stay in a place like this I would recommend you stay here it’s a beautiful and very special home
We stayed at the Dowingtown Manor for the week with family for a work opportunity. Everything was great. The location was perfect. We especially loved the fireworks for the 4th of July.Owners were great on communication, and we couldn’t have asked for a better visit.
The house checks off all the boxes. Clean, beautiful views, location and roomy. Also the pictures that attracted us to it was right on...if not better. Thanks to the Michelle for the right amount of detail in making the stay a super pleasant one.
