"After a little bit of hassle checking in, as it was all done by a screen in the lobby which didn’t allow us to pay so had to contact the main office. The reception staff were there after 1700 for a few hours to answer any of our questions. The rooms were clean but very basic. The breakfast was simple but very adequate to set us up for the day. "

Booked three days only stayed one, was told by clerk refund would be given through Expedia, they would not respond to Expedia for verification. Ripped me off for two nights. Be aware of this hotel don't believe what is published "

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone...
