This is our third consecutive year to stay at this lovely cabin. The place to stay to relax, to be close to many adventures, restaurants, wineries, and venues, and to simply sit back and enjoy the solitude. Love watching the wildlife, too. Looking forward to our next great stay!!
The cabin is remote enough to see stars and the Milky Way at night, yet just close enough to get to everything around the area. If quiet nature sounds is the only noises you want to hear - this is the place.
We had a blast, I missed that the outside area and hot tube was a common area and there is another rental right there, luckily it wasn’t booked as that would have been ackward. Def will go back though (and rent both spots)
Great communication with courteous and personable property representatives. Cabin and grounds were very clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Loved the beautiful cabin and common area. Just taking in the surroundings makes one never want to leave. Already booked for a return visit!!
This was a very nice house and the owners were awesome. We were extremely disappointed that it is listed with 2 bathrooms though when there is only one in the house. There were 6 adults and we specifically searched for a house with 2 bathrooms. There is a half bath outside so I guess that's what the second bathroom is...? Everything else was excellent!! Very responsive and helpful owner!
I've stayed at a lot of VRBOs, and this may have been one if the best.
Great spot on what looks like a hunting ranch. About 10 minutes to a small general store/cafe in Doss, and about 30 minutes to Fredericksburg. Deer EVERYWHERE! The property is beautiful.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. The host was very friendly and helpful and even left some snacks and drinks for us. The place was perfectly equipped from the kitchen to the bathroom with plenty of soft towels. The host was even nice enough to mail back a toiletry bag we left 🤦🏼♂️.
There is a great covered outdoor space with tables, chairs, gas fireplace, pool table, cornhole, tv, and hot tub (with towels). This spaced is shared with the attached hunting lodge, but we had it all to ourselves.
To clarify what seems like an issue for others, there is a full bath in the cabin, and a half bath in the attached outdoor space. You probably won't want to use it in the middle of the night, but otherwise it was nice to have for our family.
Thanks for letting us stay!
This is our second annual stay at this beautiful and relaxing venue. It doesn’t get any better than watching the birds, deer, cattle, etc., while sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and a cool, refreshing breeze. It’s the way life should be! Loved it again, and looking forward to our third annual visit.
Thankful for such great hospitality and a great view. We loved seeing the deer in the mornings. We truly enjoyed every bit of our stay! Mrs. Geistweidt thank you for the wine and the chocolates. Danielle is the best! She is very helpful with all of our questions. We will definitely be back!
Part of this trip was to be in private with my family. But you share the cabin with someone else. I was mad. I did not enjoy my self with my family bc of this reason. The pawn you can’t even fish. They show a big cabin when it’s divided by two. They did not said that.
This was a peaceful cabin on a beautiful ranch property secluded but close enough to Frederickburg to go back and forth. All amenities were included and the shared space was amazing.
The pictures don't do the cabin justice. Really nice place, well stocked kitchen. The amenities are great, especially if you don't have to share them with the adjacent home. The property is fairly busy during the day with ranch hands, & there is limited access to walk around. However, the back pasture is large where we played cornhole. We would definitely stay there again, especially if we knew that the adjacent home would not be occupied.
