What’s treat this hotel and spa turned out to be. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. Dinners were the best we had in all of Germany! Le Petit Chef was so fun! The spa was excellent. The Finnish sauna was our favorite. Our son lives in Dortmund and this will be our go to hotel when we visit.

The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We liked the garden and grounds and the hotel decor. The drink and food were of excellent quality. We spent most of the time in the Spa and was well looked after by Emily who was most attentive, helpful, happy and delightful staff member. The massage was fabulous and relaxing. The L'Arivee is one of the few hotels we would happily book again.

Overpriced and understaffed

Extremely expensive for what the hotel is. I only go to Dortmund during a trade show. This is my second time i stay at this hotel but will also be the last. Most of the staff do not speak english, they are not friendly, and they are extremely under staffed specially during the trade show that happens every year and the hotel gets full. Bed is uncomfortable. The Gardens are nice and calming and the breakfast is good. But for 500 euros per day its a pure rip off.. Dinner gets full and you will wait 1h30m for a salad. Not returning

Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites und jederzeit lösungsorientiertes Personal. Die Lage ist wunderschön ruhig im Grünen gelegen; Wanderwege gibt es direkt vor dem Haus. Der Eingangsbereich sehr weiträumig, architektonisch modern, funktional und interessant (Bilder, Verwinkelung) gestaltet. Man kann von dort aus richtig ins Hotel hineinschauen (z. B. in die schöne Lounge, Bar, Gang zum Frühstücksraum etc.) und überall Sitzgelegenheiten. Auch der Außenbereich ist schön angelegt, zum Verweilen oder Frühstück nach draußen verlegen gut geeignet. Im Loungebereich und der dort ansässigen Bar ward nie eine Bedienung gesehen. Frühstück: Es kann leicht der Eindruck entstehen, dass an manchen Stellen zuweilen gegeizt wird. Denn nicht an jedem Tag ist das eigentlich reichliche Angebot tatsächlich so reichlich – Beispiel: An einem Tag gibt es Rührei, an einem anderen nicht – aber auf Nachfrage kein Problem (warum aber muss Nachfragen sein?). Doch ganz abgesehen davon: Die Eier sind von minderer Qualität. Außerdem: Wenn man zur falschen Zeit kommt, kann man Pech haben, weil nicht mehr oder nur auf Nachfrage nachgefüllt wird - für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse unverständlich.

Fantastisk skønt hotel. Super lækkert spa og pool område. Flotte store værelser, hvor der ikke mangler noget. Lækker morgenmad buffet, der mangler intet. Vi spiste også på hotellets restaurant til aften og det var virkelig lækker mad og store portioner.

Insgesamt ein tolles Hotel, das ich schon mehrfach besuchen durfte. Leider erlaubt es sich das Hotel, nach Buchung einfach die Konditionen in Form der Checkin-Zeit zu ändern. Man erhält vor dem Besuch eine Email, dass die Checkin-Zeiten an Spieltagen des BVBs, der vor Heimspielen im Hotel ist, geändert werden. Es gilt dann die Anstoßzeit, die oftmals erst kurz vorher vom DFB festgelegt wird. Auch ob der Verein international weiter kommt und ein Heimspiel hat, entscheidet sich oftmals zwei Wochen vorher. Man muss sich selbst darum kümmern, wann Anspielzeit ist und erstmal so weit denken, dass das auch abends sein könnte. Ist diese um 15:30 ist das eine Verzögerung von 30 Minuten und kein Problem. Handelt es sich um ein Abendspiel aber schon. Das kann Checkin um 21 Uhr bedeuten, wie uns erklärt wurde. Das Risiko von kurzfristigen Spielverlegungen trägt somit auch der Gast, der eventuell schon Wochen vorher gebucht hat. Beim Checkin war man da auch sehr hart und erst die Intervention über Expedia hat den Fall für uns geklärt. Andere wurden abgewimmelt. Ein No-Go, was dieses tolle Hotel für mich an keinem Samstag, Sonntag, Dienstag, Mittwoch oder Donnerstag (typische Spieltage) mehr buchbar macht. Sehr schade.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Ich hatte einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in einem tollen Hotel mit köstlichem Essen und hervorragenden Parkmöglichkeiten. Besonders möchte ich den Frühstücksküchenchef loben. Mit seiner fröhlichen und freundlichen Art beginnt der Tag einfach wunderbar!

Ich hatte eine gute Zeit, denn das Zimmer und der Wellnessbreich waren super. Direkt am Wald gelegen und ruhig. Leider war das Personal an der Rezeption nicht so Kundenorientiert, wie ich angenommen hätte. Die Bedienung in den Restaurants hingegen ist einsame spitze.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Der Wellnessbereich ist liebevoll gestaltet. Das Essen am Abend im Vivre war von Vorspeise bis Dessert ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit tollem Wellness Angebot. Ich hatte ein Superior Zimmer mit einer riesigen Terrasse, das ließ keine Wünsche offen. Leider war der Service beim Abendessen eine einzige Katastrophe. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter im Service abends renne wie wild durcheinander, achten überhaupt nicht, wenn ein gast etwas bestellen will. Das Hauptgericht kommt, bevor man mit der Hauptspeise fertig ist. Der Kommentar der Kellnerin: Tja heute gehts halt schneller. Das zweite Hauptgericht kommt, als der erste Gast bereits fast fertig ist mit seinem. Keine Entschuldigung. Nichts. Niemand sieht wen Gläser leer sind und man muss während des Essens seine Energie darauf verwenden jemand abfangen zu können um "Nachschub" zu bekommen. Bei diesem Niveau und entsprechenden Preisen darf der Gast einen professionellen und freundlichen Service erwarten finde ich. Schade, das trübt den hervorragenden Eindruck des Hotels total.

Twee gestoord door binnenkomende personen.

We werden twee keer gestoord door iemand die ongevraagd binnen kwam. Bij vertrek werd ons het ontbijt niet in rekening gebracht wegens dit voorval. Dit kon ik op prijs stellen. De kamer was netjes. We kregen een kamer met bad. Ik had in de reservering om een kamer met douche gevraagd. Ik heb het maar zo gelaten, we waren te moe om te verhuizen. Het eten was veel te duur voor wat er op tafel kwam. De groente bij de biefstuk bestond uit één kerstomaatje en een blaadje peterselie dit was schijnbaar de gemengde salade die op de kaart stond. De kwaliteit van het vlees was prima. Het hotel is netjes en schoon. De vitrage op de kamer was stuk, wifi was prima. Het hang en sluitwerk van de (glazen)badkamerdeur zat los.
