Jawai's Wildness Lodge

Jawai's Wildness Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean and well maintained, making the stay comfortable from the moment I checked in. The staff deserves special appreciation — they are extremely courteous, polite, and genuinely warm. Most of them are from the neighboring village, and their hospitality felt far more sincere and heartfelt than what you often experience in many high-end 5-star or even so-called 7-star hotels. The food was another highlight — excellent quality, freshly prepared, and made using pure ingredients. You can truly feel the authenticity and care in every meal. Safari bookings can be conveniently arranged once you reach Jawai, which makes planning much easier. A special mention to Mr. Pukhraj, who is very humble and helpful; the rest of the staff also reflects the same respectful and welcoming attitude. That said, this is a lodge, not a luxury resort. If you are someone who specifically looks for 5-star or 7-star properties with jacuzzis, ultra-luxury amenities, and a resort-style experience, this may not be the right choice for you. However, if you value cleanliness, authentic hospitality, great food, and a peaceful stay close to nature, this place is absolutely worth it."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Doodni?
The best area to stay in Doodni is around Lake Pichola, offering stunning views and convenient access to the city's main attractions. This central area is where you'll find many of Doodni's most luxurious hotels, often housed in beautifully restored palaces or traditional havelis. The hotels here typically boast rooftop restaurants with panoramic lake views, and many offer boat transfers directly to their properties or to nearby sights. The City Palace, a grand complex of palaces and courtyards, is right on the eastern bank, and the Jag Mandir island palace is a short boat ride away.Couples often find this area particularly romantic and appealing. The serene lake setting, combined with the intricate architecture and the option for private dining experiences overlooking the water, creates a memorable experience. Evening boat cruises on Lake Pichola are a popular activity, offering a different perspective of the illuminated palaces. For travellers interested in a more secluded and quiet experience, the hotels on the western side of Lake Pichola, particularly those accessible by private jetty, provide a tranquil escape. These properties often feature expansive grounds, private pools, and spa facilities, superb for relaxation after a day of exploring.
