There wasn't a control for the AC, so no AC all night. It may have been fine if there was a fan. Poor quality linens. No wash cloths, only one towel and it was a "family" room.
Was a good place to stay. Renovated and not run down. Also not extremely dirty. This isn’t a family hotel. Hotel the Gray isn’t the nicest hotel, but for the price it’s pretty good.
I stayed here for 3 nights in December. I was in the area for business, and we used this hotel. It is very well priced, about $50-$60 USD, and overall, is a nice hotel.
Just know, if you do stay here, know what kind of hotel this is. This hotel, you can pay by the hour, if you know what I mean. The hotel is catered around this type of visit, and the rooms are set up for just this. Some of the rooms don’t even have a closed off bathroom, and the suite has a tub in the middle of the room. It is kind of funny because the fridge is stocked with water, but also energy drinks and some fruit juice. You can fill in the blanks.
Despite what the hotel caters to, it is still fairly nice. It is not your typical hourly rate motel that is dirty and gross. It is still fairly clean, with room service everyday.
This hotel is probably best for solo travelers, or couples. This is not a family hotel, nor a hotel with people who do not sleep together.
It was newly renovated. It looked nice small but spacious. Everything was good except the extremely thin walls which was what others said in their reviews. They had a mini fridge with water and juice for free. Free water and coffee in the lobby. 2 minutes from the train. And restaurants and stores down the street. Pretty cool location. Again if you can handle extremely thin walls everything is great.
