"Room was cold.we felt hotel needed upgrading especially for price.no kettle in room but at midnight staff found us one. Bathroom tired. Staff very helpful but could have been smarter looking. Breakfast excellent. Overall disappointing considering price"

"Our time in Bala was brilliant and the White Lion Royal Hotel was wonderful. Chris greeted us and immediately helped us with a flat tire situation. Jenene served us two delicious meals from their cafe. This 600 year old historic hotel is cared for well. Our bathroom was updated and the bed was very comfortable. Five stars all around! "
