Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
On arrival we found no cleaning had been undertaken since the previous occupies, no fresh bedding, beds slept in and nothing for the second bed, washing up in the sink, used towels and the smell was awful with a full bin, I did manage to get hold of the owner after a short while, we did try and look locally for somewhere to get cleaning products and bedding as there were no vacancies locally to book elsewhere to stay as this would have been the preference, my family didn't want to stay at all and my partner who's birthday it was just felt dissatisfied which really set the tone for our whole trip, the owner did send someone to clean after pleasant communication and was apologising for the mistake, he offered a partial refund, waiting to see if that actually happens. we left again for an hour for cleaning to commence, on return cleaning had taken place, bedding provided, but, the smell still remained so I went to the local shop for cleaning equipment and ended up cleaning everything, it was not clean and after an hour of deep cleaning I found cutlery to be dirty, any glass and walls had to be scrubbed, the rug was full of debris, just a bit grunby all over, Not especially happy but we were able go rectify and get on with our trip. The property is a good size and was big enough for 3 people, it was a plane and the area was secluded and quiet, was a shop just a 2 min walk, the loop was unfortunately quiet but worth the trip just to see the views and enjoy the quiet.
