My family and I booked last minute. The host was very kind and accommodated our family with quick communication. The house was very nice and clean with good proximity to lake George and restaurants.
Group of 4 adult friends spent 2 nights around the eclipse. It was perfect! Clear communication before and during. Comfy beds, large living areas to hang out, we utilized the ample facilities (3 full bathrooms, fireplace, etc.). Would stay again
Wonderful home set in a wooded area in the Bolton Landing area. Beautiful area nestled in the woods, quite and serene. The home was cozy and had a fun game room in the basement. All appliances were nice, furniture and beds were comfy and the back deck and front porch made it nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings.
What an incredible home. The decor is what you’d expect for a traditional exclusive woodsy stay. Very comfortably fit 6 adults, 2 children and an infant. Surprise!!! The twin bed was actually a trundle bed so each grand baby had their own bed. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Less than 10 minutes to Lake George Village. We really loved the rec room downstairs. Pool table, ping pong and air hockey. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and the secluded yard. Our hosts will most definitely be our go to for future trips. We can’t thank them enough for helping make memories with our children and grandchildren. My only regret was not booking an extra day because we didn’t want to leave!
Very clean and comfortable. Very new. Well outfitted. Nice private lot, very quite. Less than 10 min to Bolton which is great for restaurants, groceries, etc. Nice big gas grill. Full size washer and dryer. Board games, with ping-pong, air hockey and pool table in the basement. Deck and porch for Adirondack relaxation.
My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Tucked away on a private road but close to all the fun Lake George has to offer. Found the corn hole boards upon arrival and started our fun!
The kitchen is amazing and was stocked with everything I needed. Family room couches are very comfortable. Love the wooden dining table. AC works great. All the bedrooms are inviting and baths are stocked with essentials. Awesome basement that my 20 year old boys loved!! Ping pong, pool and foosball. Used the fire pit area and cooked s'mores. Walked to Trout lake-not far.
Communication was prompt and easy. I highly recommend this home.
This cabin is situated on a pretty wooded lot which makes it very private. The home is only a few years old and well maintained and decorated.
The downstairs bedroom had a comfortable bed but the shower was too small for my husband. There was another full bathroom with a larger shower a few feet away. Upstairs my adult daughter and her husband found the queen size bed uncomfortable and the shower a satisfactory size but with poor water pressure.
The basement contained a ping pong table, air hockey and a pool table which they enjoyed very much. The washer and dryer were conveniently located with detergent available. There is a beautiful front porch and a place to eat outside. I would rent this home again. It is a generally comfortable woodland retreat within easy driving to Lake George.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! Created lots of great memories to last a lifetime! House was stocked with your everyday needs, and the host were super easy to communicate with throughout the process! We will definitely be back!
I arranged a summer weekend getaway for myself and three friends and we had the loveliest time staying here! The property is beautiful, very well built and maintained. We loved spending quiet mornings on the front porch and evenings by the fire. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked very well, which is always nice in a home away from home. We were able to enjoy the fun Lake George and Bolton Landing have to offer without being in the heart of the hustle and bustle, which was what we were after. The stars, wildlife visitors (a road, a baby deer, and some birds), and the nature surrounding were so beautiful. Visitors should know that there is not cell phone service at the house, but the WiFi worked very well so it ended up not being an issue. Overall, a perfect weekend we’d love to return to!
Beautiful home and Francesco & Lucinda we’re excellent hosts.
Home was comfortable and very clean. Location was excellent for our itinerary. Kitchen well stocked with all necessary tools. Rooms we’re comfortable and our only disappointment was we could not use the outdoor fire pit because of our schedule.
Highly recommend this home for a family visit to Lake George.
spent 4 nights in home with 6 adults and 2 kids 8 and 10 years old....kinda tight. There are 2 bedrooms for adults and 3rd bedroom with bunk beds for 3 kids....4th bedroom is locked for owners use only. I had to use air mattress provided for my grand daughter and i slept 4 nights on the living room recliner. Home is advertised that it sleeps 10 which i dont see possible with 3 bedrooms available..,Home is perfect for 4 adults and 2 children or 5 adults with 1 adult sleeping in bunk bed bottom..Other than sleeping arrangements,i rated the home 5 stars all the way..its clean and new and myself and guests treated it as if it was our own..Trout lake is nice to look at but not for renters use..its for association owners only..
Eyes on Diamond Point
The host ruined our family vacation. Where do I begin? Let's start with the video cameras in the house. Having video cameras in a rental property is illegal in New York. Additional cameras are on the front porch, deck and firepit area. We know he was watching because his first call to us was when we pulled in the driveway. This was the first of numerous calls and texts from the owner over the next few days. The basement game room was great, it has air hockey, ping pong, a pool table and another camera which is just creepy. The ad has been changed and the game room is now off limits to renters. Halfway through our vacation, a couple of the kids decided to sleep in the basement one night and at around 7am the next morning my phone started ringing. It was the host again, this time he was screaming. He was watching the camera and assumed with the kids in the basement and number of cars in the driveway that we had 14 people in the house. He demanded we pay another $2700 or leave the house. He kicked us out 6 days early because he falsely thought we had too many people in the house. The house had a few other issues as well. The bed linens were soiled. The beds, cheap and uncomfortable. We lost power for nearly a day and although the host was watching, he offered no help. Even getting kicked out, we left the house cleaner than we found it. It's laughable that the host gave us a negative review.
Overall the house was nice but the cameras watching your every move were uncomfortable. These should have been disclosed in the listing. Cameras were facing around the outside of the property to include the front porch, driveway and deck/fire pit area. There were also cameras in the basement and the attached garage. You always felt like the owners were watching or listening in no matter where you were. We were also disappointed that the listing didn’t mention that there’s a bedroom that’s off limits and locked on the second floor. Since there were so many cameras around we were uncomfortable thinking that they have a camera in that room too and are able to hear everything inside the house.
The positives, the amenities in the house were nice and sheets/linens were clean. The location was very nice and private except for the cameras. The sofas are newer and very comfortable.
I would recommend replacing the stained bed pillows and doing a deep clean of the dust bunnies under the beds/furniture and cleaning the kitchen cabinets (spider webs and food splashed on the cabinets) along with thoroughly cleaning the refrigerator shelves. Get rid of the cameras that take away privacy from your guests.
The basement in the house has a pool table (which is covered), ping pong and air hockey but we were unsure if we could use them (not in the listing). We would have asked but after seeing a camera down there, we no longer had any desire to be down there.
As always we were respectful of the property and followed the house rules. No shoes inside (which I agree with) and cleaned up everything as requested when we checked out.
This was a lovely property; very clean and spacious.; very peaceful setting. Furnishings are pretty basic -- mattresses on elevated frames, etc. Although it is walking distance to Trout Lake, you don't really have access to Trout Lake (at least not in September; in the summer there might be a dock you can swim out to, but we were more interested in access for fishing.) While the listing mentions a gas fireplace, you are to use it for "ambiance and not for heat," as the heat from the fireplace could damage the tv above. We translated this to don't leave the fireplace on for long. The only chairs I saw on the front porch were fold up camping chairs, although there is nice furniture on the back deck. The reason for the 4 star rating (as opposed to 5) is that the tenant has no control over the thermostat -- the owner controls it remotely. (The thermostat requires an access code to unlock, and they weren't giving us the code.) As an adult, I found this odd --not to mention paternalistic/controlling. It also made me feel like I was being "nickeled and dimed." (Trust me, we were charged enough to cover the cost of utilities.) The annoying nature of the situation was exacerbated by the lack of blankets on the beds and in the closets (just sheets and bedspreads). (There were about 3 throws in a basket in the living room -- and they may supply blankets in the winter, I don't know.) So I wouldn't stay here again, because I just don't need that level of nonsense. (If I wanted someone else controlling my thermostat for a week, I would have stayed with relatives.) But if you're OK with this kind of weird paternalism, I recommend the property.
great experience overall! there was plenty of room, It was clean and tidy and every bathroom stocked with anything we could need! owners kept in touch and answered our questions immediately. property was amazing inside and outside- the huge fire pit was a hit! highly recommend!
Absolutely gorgeous home! Great for families! With large open kitchen/dining/living room area and spacious bedrooms. The front porch and back deck are great to sit back and relax. The outdoor fire pit is a must do while staying there! The home is a short 8 min drive to Bolton landing (cute town and where we rented our boat from). It is also walking distance to trout lake.
The property was beautiful and has tons of space for everyone to be either together or spread out. It was clean and close enough to most things. The lake access was a little disappointing or we just didn’t find a place to go too other than that owners and property were great!
Family stayed for a ski trip…conveniently located near Gore Mt. and Lake George. House was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The home owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely look to stay here again if we’re back in the area.
We spent the long New Year weekend at Francesco and Lucinda’s home and it was fantastic. The home is beautiful and the location is super peaceful and equally as beautiful. There’s all the comforts of home and the owners made it very easy to get in and have a great time. Highly recommended!!!
We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and the house was in a perfect location! We were able to easily get to Lake George and Bolton Landing in minutes. The beautiful kitchen was a favorite gathering place in the house. The living room was spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of wildlife right outside the front door. We had a wonderful stay!
