"This house is in a good location for both relaxing and spending time on the river. It's also close to Camp Wood and Barksdale for restaurants, church, gas, etc..Very clean with a nice large outdoor deck with seating and a very good fire pit area with seating. Awesome gas grill for your steaks. Large TVs placed in rooms throughout the house. Well equipped kitchen. We saw the Angora goats and also deer down by the crystal clear Nueces River. To earn five stars usually means a combination of the property being nice physically as well the owner/manager of the property being attentive and responding promptly to whatever may come up. Kelly definitely goes out of her way to see that you're having a good time during your stay there so you'll want to come back again. Which we definitely would!"

"The property was a perfect peaceful getaway for my husband, sister, brother-in-law and me as well as my sister's dog. We greatly enjoyed the hummingbirds on the many feeders on the porch. The dog loved running around the fenced in yard. It was quiet, a perfect place to hang out and talk and play games. I was initially nervous about finding it when i learned cell service is spotty out there, but the owners written directions were accurate and easy to follow. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, pots and pans and serving bowls as well as appliances that were in great shape. A very enjoyable time!"

"We had a great, 3 day stay at the Genesis Ranch. There were only two of us so we didn’t need the bunk house, but the main house is great. Clean and well appointed. Further, unlike too many hill-country ranches we have rented, it was uncluttered and new. Roby has done a great job providing a place that feels refreshing to be in. The ranch itself is beautiful too. Some great hiking trials and beautiful, exotic animals to be seen. And the spring is beautiful. It’s well worth the hike up the creek-bed to it. The hike is great and the area at the spring is magical."
