The location was awesome! Walking distance to almost everything. Lots of shops and restaurants to walk to and we were able to walk to the Redwings game as well. There was a parking spot for us and the building is safely secure. Would definitely stay again.
The perfect place for a small group visiting the city. Walking/biking distance from tons of activities, host had many helpful recommendations.
The rental itself is spacious and clean, well equipt jn
The property exceeded our expectations in several areas - location was outstanding for events at LCA and Ford Field, property was wonderfully appointed and very spacious. We wish we had more time to spend there and will definitely stay here again!
What an awesome stay! The king beds were comfy, the place was clean, and it was walking distance to everything we needed! The finishes are high end and it was worth every penny. Would definitely come back and stay again to watch Detroit sports (hopefully the next time they win)!
We came in for an overnight stay for a Tiger game.
The location is convenient for sporting event or concert. The house it beautiful and very well maintained. Communication with the host was extremely easy and they were very accommodating. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back!
The property was very clean and well-kept, and we felt very safe in the building. It is notable that the second bedroom (with the exercise equipment) is downstairs and can get chilly, and opens up into the hallway (but with a locked door for safety). The towels and sheets could use upgrading, but the other amenities (pour over coffee, espresso machine, shampoo/conditioner, etc.) were very good quality.
Walked to Tiger’s stadium, casino, Whole Foods, and numerous bars/restaurants. Great Location. Did not feel like it was an unsafe neighborhood. Very enjoyable!
Celebrating a family landmark with a Detroit sports experience. Great location, walking distance to both Lions game and Redwings. Convenient, clean, and comfortably modern.
The restoration of this home is beautiful. Unit was tastefully decorated, immaculate, and well stocked. Within walking distance to all three stadiums. Will definitely seek out this when attending next event.
We enjoyed Detroit very much!! This location was a short walk to the Masonic Temple. The unit was very clean. The real plants are a great touch. The host is very responsive.
The property could not have been more perfect. It was clean and comfortable with high end furnishings. We walked everywhere as the location was perfect for seeing the downtown area and going to Comerica Field. Would rent again in the future and recommend to anyone visiting Detroit!
Tastefully renovated late 1800s mansion. Off street parking spot. High end linens on a super comfy beds. Fantastic furnishings, art and even a pour over coffee maker! What a nice treat. Little Caesar’s practically in the back yard, restaurants, bars, theaters, Lions & Tigers all within walking distance. What a gem.
Everything was great. We had a few interior mess ups that were already there and wanted to make sure we would not be charged for said damage. Everything was easy to use and I loved the multiple bathrooms no one had to wait to use it. The extra exit in the lower room was cool if you needed to leave out without bothering anyone else. Overall I would recommend it to others.
Very clean and beautiful. Host was very responsive. We had people above us that came in about 1am and woke around 5am. We could hear everything. When we were leaving, at checkout 11am there were 3 vehicles all trying to get in blocking our way out in the alley.I didn't understand that, as we couldn't check in until 4pm
Overall, this is an excellent property. We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for coming to town to see a show at Little Caesars Arena. The biggest pro was location, followed by how easy it was to access the rental and all the communication the owners provided.
A few notes though that I wish I had been aware of:
The unit is two floors, the main floor housing the master bedroom and the downstairs offering the second bedroom. The downstairs bedroom leads right out into the hallway--just a simple deadbolt separating the hallway from the sleeping humans. I would not have preferred this a mom and traveling with kids. Also the bathroom down there is split--one room has a shower, one room just the way down the hall is the toilet. Not a huge deal, obviously but not how I understood it to be before we arrived. Also, the peloton does not have cages like the owners suggested, just the plain pedal coverings so if you plan to use it, you need to know this.
Lastly, and maybe the biggest thing for us was how noisy it was. In the master bedroom you could hear entire conversations going on in the apt above--the talking, walking across the floors and even a phone vibrating were all things that woke us up or kept us awake. This is not neccesarily the fault of the owner but should be noted. Did it make our stay or experience poor? It did not. Would it have been a big deal to me if I had been traveling with other people? maybe.
I would still give this listing 5 stars.
We had a small 40th birthday gathering for our friend
This place was beautiful and clean. Easy check in and out process. We were unable to cancel our booking and the host denied our dates to reschedule although our friend had a death in the family and had to plan the funeral. The cancellation would’ve given us only half of our monies back. That was quite stressful but the host was very kind over the phone but very unaccommodating. Almost seemed like he was nervous to allow us to stay there. We even asked if it was okay to allow her family to have the location for the repast and was told 6 people were the maximum allowed to visit although the site showed a 15 maximum was allowed. The site had various options available like three bedrooms for this location and events and parties allowed. It was unfortunate to find out that AFTER you book, things were different. There are only two bedrooms and they look nice but the location sleeps 6. I guess the sofa was third bed. In addition, we were charged $25 for each guest above 2 who stayed the night. There was going to be six of us initially and only 5 stayed the night, therefore when booking we were charged an extra $100 for 4 additional guests beyond the two. Unfortunately, we were not refunded the extra $25 for a guest who didn’t stay. Be aware of this. Also, VRBO homes usually allow you to have access to an entire home but this is a condo with 6 total condos in one building. There is only one parking space in the rear. The rest of us parked on the street.
