A Supreme Stay in Motown star Florence Ballard's Home

Now, for the first time ever you have an opportunity to stay in the home of one of motown's brightest stars. The legendary founder of Motown super group The Supremes ,Florence Ballard. Florence along with Diana and Mary all bought their houses on Buena Vista Street in Detroit in 1965 after their first year of massive success. This is where Florence lived during the peak of her career until tragedy struck and she eventually lost her beloved home to foreclosure. This is an opportunity to celebrate the great Florence Ballard and enjoy the home that she cherished . The house has been lovingly restored and the living space is recreated to resemble how they were when Florence lived here. This spacious property of approximately 3,000 square feet spread out over three levels is designed to offer maximum comfort to its guests . While originally designed as a duplex, it is being offered here as a single residence offering a total of four bedrooms with two living rooms, two formal dining rooms, two kitchens and two identical full baths. The downstairs kitchen was remodeled and features a thermador cooktop with a concealed and built-in ASKO dishwasher and Sub-Zero refrigerator while the upstairs Art Deco kitchen remains original to the 1937 construction and is complemented today with a new retro style refrigerator and microwave , while the vintage 1965 Frigidaire flair double oven stove is a special touch that will be a delight for guests to cook with. Both kitchens are well stocked and the upstairs kitchen has an air fryer along with a brand new Keurig machine. To have the ability to recreate some of Florence's lavish gatherings when she lived here the house will come with a Reed and Barton English coffee and tea service set silver plated utensils with service for 12 and Lenox China. Throughout the home you will find thoughtfully selected antique pieces of furniture highlighted by the upstairs master bedroom which features a genuine Mario Buatta four poster bed who's provenance hails from Barbara Walters 5th avenue apartment. There is even a 1966 Magnavox console stereo in the living room supplied with numerous Supremes albums as well as Diana Ross's solo career albums all to be enjoyed by the user. There are three separate outdoor spaces including a wide porch off the downstairs living room, a smaller balcony off the upstairs living room and a wooden deck off of the rear sunroom which Florence used as her office. In that office there is a sofa that has a pull out full size bed so this house has the ability to sleep 10 people. Supplied with dual zone gas forced air heat as well as central air conditioning you the guests will remain cozy and comfortable all year round no matter what season you may be in. Off street parking is available however the driveway can accommodate up to five cars.
