"The rooms were comfortable with a/c and hot water showers. The staff were outstanding. They picked us up from the main road in the dark at 11pm in a Safari jeep and they drove us and all our luggage to the lodge, as our driver’s buss would get bogged on the muddy road. The chef was very friendly and cooked delicious food for us. The Safari was exceptional. We got very lucky to see leopards. One of them is called Lucas, a mature male leopard. The king of the jungle. Apparently a rare sight. We also spotted elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, lots of birds and deer. It was a memorable experience. "

"Very professional staff, incredible location near the entrance to Yala National Park. The staffs English could be improved upon but the staff were very attentive, warm and helpful. The room we had was incredible. Very large with all the amenties you could expect. The small private pool was nice but cold and not really used. The food at the restaurant was well prepared and reasonably priced. They have both an international food and local Sri Lankan menu to choose from. We look forward to returning some day!"

"Agreed by the whole family to be the best hotel and stay of our Sri Lanka & Singapore trip (overall we stayed at 11 different hotels of varying quality). Can't really rave enough about this place. I wouldn't really call it a hotel - more like a luxury, boutique accommodation. Exceptional in every way. Pros - Service - exceptional, Upul is the only one who we knew by name but everyone was wonderful - Pool - the hotel was full but there were rarely more than 4-5 people at the pool and even then it felt like you had it yourself - Close to Yala National Park - kicking ourselves we did one safari here and one from another (further) hotel as it was so close to the park it would have been much easier travel wise - Organised a safari for us from the hotel and packed snacks and cold water which was very thoughtful (we paid the driver directly and it was well priced) - Yummy cocktails and good food - Great value for money and even more so considering some of the other places we stayed - Nice large, clean, modern, and comfy rooms with a great view of the fields - The little extras make it extra special - they had archery, basketball and a mini golf course - Serene and peaceful, R&R achieved - Like an oasis and with beautiful, natural surroundings - Space - just felt personal and like we had the place almost to ourselves Cons I can't really think of anything. You won't be disappointed booking a stay here. "

"Wonderful hotel in a great location close to lake and ocean. We stayed in a jungle chalet which was spacious and well equipped. Staff constantly patrolling the area so very safe. We booked full board and all the meals were delicious and great variety. Danushka served us at dinner and breakfast and was charming and very attentive. "
