"We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many...

"The location of this hotel was excellent. RIght on the main street by the water and next to the high street. The hotel itself was "interesting". There was no lobby or restaurant open and there wasn't always someone at the front desk. There is no elevator, but the female staff carried up my heavy suitcase four floors. The floors are not level and they squeak. The windows casings were broken in one of the rooms we took. The shower hardly put out any water and it was slightly unsafe trying to step over the bathtub shower to get out of it. But, I loved staying here, with all that counting against it. I had a beautiful view of the Viking ship and the ferry from my fourth floor room. I actually would stay here again!"
