"Staff at the Curtis were all fabulous and very helpful. We had breakfast and it was excellent. Room was spacious and freshly renovated but we had some maintenance issues which would need to be addressed: The AC unit was very noisy and screeched in the middle of the night; in the shower the temperature control would sometimes change while you were showering going from perfect temperature to freezing cold (small adjustment on the lever required I suspect) and the courtesy safe was not attached anywhere so could just be lifted out and carried away with all contents inside! We loved the location for access to the convention centre and a short walk to 16th street with all the great bars and restaurants. The elevators/lifts were a bit weird and sometimes they would stop on every single floor (other guests shared the same experiences) - apparently something to do with them not being synched together - guessing this is a tough one for the hotel to fix so some patience required at times. All in all, very fair pricing for the location, staff service and money paid - just a couple maintenance issues that need addressing in the room we occupied. We would stay there again on another visit to Denver."

"I loved my stay. The hotel is located very close to the 16th Street where you can hop in the free mall travel bus. The breakfast has a wide variety of options, but it would have been more appreciated if it had had vegetables and salads. The evening reception is also delightful - I loved my mocktail and the onion deep with crackers. The room is spacious and offers a great view of the Rockies. I loved the bath products - so nourishing to my skin. The room has a microwave oven and a fridge, which is definitely a plus to have takeaway food in a room. The hotel staff is very accommodating to my requests and needs."

"The overnight rate for the valet is $59, so don't be surprised like I was. Public parking is across the street, but I didn't want to use it at night. The valet called me three times at 7 a.m. to ask if I had the key to my car: I couldn't get to the phone quickly enough to answer the first two times. I had left the key with the valet, so the call was totally unnecessary and totally unwelcome at 7 a.m. The air conditioning unit went on and off every five minutes all night no matter what temperature I set it at. I was in Denver for a medical procedure and need my sleep more than usual, but was awake most of the night from the on-and-off a.c. I have never stayed at a Hyatt with one smaller and softer pillow than the others on the bed. It was like sleeping with a bed roll for a pillow. The location is downtown, so if you aren't used to traffic noise, you're unlikely to get a good night's sleep unless the a.c. is running constantly - not on and off at five-minute intervals. Won't stay there again."
