Check-in starts at 4p. Chris called us after we left a vmail around 330p to notify we were in the property to check-in. The cabin is clean and stocked. Serves breakfast only. Saw the northern lights just outside our cabin! Overall was an awesome experience!

This was just a great stop for us. The town was amazing, and the little cabin we stayed in was perfect for our family. There was a little walking path that les us directly into town so we walked along the river and had dinner and walked back. We really enjoyed it.

The staff were very helpful and informative. The rooms were very clean. The only downside was that they are in a relatively remote location and so the tv options were very limited and suffered from buffering issues. But as we were only there for one night, it wasn't a massive setback. I would highly recommend getting breakfast in the morning. The Rösti was delicious!! We would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We lost power in the bathroom and the bathroom door knob was very loose, would have felt safer with a dead bolt on the entry door.

The property is bare bones, but in a nice location with wonderful friendly staff. It was clean, but the mattesses were cheap and uncomfortable. Probably good for younger people/hikers. The breakfast was wondeful!

A peaceful retreat just outside town, this hotel offered a surprisingly delightful experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The room itself had modest amenities but was impeccably clean—clearly maintained with care. What truly stood out were the hosts: incredibly friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Despite our very late check-in and extremely early checkout, they ensured everything went smoothly. Even though we arrived outside regular hours, the process was seamless thanks to their thoughtful preparation and clear communication. The location is a hidden gem for nature lovers. Nestled in a dark sky area, it’s perfect for stargazing and—if you're lucky—catching a glimpse of the aurora. The quiet surroundings added to the charm, offering a tranquil escape from the bustle of town. Though we didn’t get to use the full kitchen, bar, or laundry services due to our short stay, it was great to know those facilities were available. They seemed well-equipped and would be ideal for longer visits. Overall, this place blends simplicity with genuine hospitality. A few more in-room comforts would have made it perfect, but the cleanliness, location, and host support more than made up for it. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway, especially if you're chasing stars or northern lights or majestic view of Mt. Denali and looking forward to know the history of small beautiful town Talkeetna.
