Exactly what we were looking for. Very quiet and calming atmosphere. There's a creek right on the property where you can just wind down with a good read. Large grocery store nearby if you dont plan to eat out alot.

Beautiful home and property
The home was beautiful and the waterfall below the house was so beautiful (much better than the pics.). The house was very clean and looked beautiful. There were windows in the basement that were open which was concerning but we closed them. The only way into the house was a very steep set of stairs. Everything in the house worked perfectly and we were happy. The driveway to the house as well as leaving the house was VERY steep and I was spinning tires most of the way up the hill. This would be very concering in rainy weather. The walk to the Chattahoochee river is very short and the river is beautiful. It is a part of the river that actually has rapids. I would recommend the house highly as long as everyone can climb steep stairs. There is NO way into the main home without climbing stairs and there is only one bedroom on the main floor. Now the only issue we had was finding the place. The directions said turn the GPS off and we did but we still had to call the owner to find the house. Nothing was really clear and I would have never found it without his help. It is remote and most of the drive is down a dirt road.

Hi Joel, thanks for your feedback. Just after your stay, we made major modifications to the driveway and the entry to the house. We have added on an upper parking space area, which is now on the main level of the house. We built a walkway from the new parking area that goes almost straight across now to access the front door, so it does not require going up a flight of stairs to reach the main level now. We also widened the sides of the driveway, so it should eliminate any issues getting up the driveway. Most of our guests find the house just fine using either their GPS or written directions we provide. But I will go back now and review the directions and update them to clarify any confusion. Once in a lifetime
We had to go to Atlanta and had just a couple extra nights by ourselves. We splurged with this home. I can't explain the serene and secluded access to the creek. I sat on a creek rock and the hammock enjoying the sunshine. No other people could sit on my rock. I had private rushing water that one yearns for during hiking. My husband enjoyed the creek, but he has medical condition and could not make the short walk to the river spot with the chairs and picnic table. We were in awe of how beautiful the spot was with all the amenities. The host is truly blessed with this house and I am grateful it was shared.

Needs Updating
This area is beautiful, and we loved the view and creek. The house though, needs updating. I think they are soing so presently as there was a lot of construction material lying around outside. Also, cleaning crew needs to pay more attention...we found three random dirty sock while we were there (under the beds and outside) and the glasses and pots were dirty in the cabinets.

Hi Crystal, thanks for the feedback. Yes, you are correct. We are in the process of making updates to the property. We will continue to gradually improve the house and add more amenities, but at the same time trying to keep the rental rate reasonable and affordable. This is a tricky balance and we do the best to try to keep this house affordable. We have a "sister" house next door that is a more upscale and elevated property(but costs more), that may be a better fit for you if you would like to spend more money on your vacation and want a house that is much newer and more updated. That house VRBO# is 199652. I have passed on the feedback you provided about the cleanliness of the house, and the house cleaning boss has fired a cleaner that wasn't doing a good job, so that issue should be resolved now. Thanks so much and we hope you can come back in the future.

The property was so serene and much needed after driving back from Texas to SC. We loved it so much we’re returning this summer to really adventure. Helen was so adorable and a short drive. The closest shopping town was very Up kept where we went to eat. The international kitchen was fabulous!!! Nice wide safe roads. The house was very clean and offered great supplies as well.

Lovely property by the river
Loved our stay. The cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed at. Thick towels, lots of extras (soaps, detergents, etc..) Enjoyable and relaxing stay. All our needs were met. My only complaint is the stairs into the house are scary. The are steep and very slippery when wet. Throw in the leaves and it was worse. We are all able body and active adults too. Anyone with any disability could not make it up the stairs safely.

Great getaway
This was a very clean, lovely cabin way out in the woods. We were there for a wedding in Cleveland and it was a great place to stay. It was a bit more off the beaten path than we realized but once we found it, we enjoyed it thoroughly. Make sure you follow the instructions from the owner once you get off the main highway as the GPS doesn't give directions all the way to the cabin. We were there in Oct and the trees and fall colors were beautiful! This would be amazing in the summer months as well. Tubing on the river, a cookout, and just enjoying the deck and getting away from it all would make for a wonderful summer family getaway!

Girls Trip with Mom
My sister and I spent a few days in this lovely spot with our elderly mother. The scenery is beautiful and I can't say enough about the fun my sis and I had hiking the creek and falls. The rock walls are incredible and it is so peaceful. Listening to the water sitting on the deck in the evening was very relaxing after a fun trip to Helen during the day. We visited Dahlonega for gold panning and several wineries and meaderies, all within a reasonable drive so the location is actually quite convenient. The house is well equipped, clean and the rules and check out requirements very reasonable. I would re-book this property again, perhaps in the summer so we can enjoy the river and tubing. Thank you for a great trip!

Great mountain getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house, decks, and hot tub were a great place to spend a relaxing week. We also ventured out to waterfalls, the Blue Ridge Railway, and the town of Helen. The house required going up stairs and it’s not an easy trek down to the river if you have any physical disabilities, just so you are aware. It was a wonderful vacation!

Great property with shallow water access (creek on one side of house and river access on the end of the property). Overall the house is accommodating as stated in the description but is in need of maintenance and the gravel road to get to the property needs to maintained (full of pot holes). All that being said we would be happy to be back and plan too in the near future.

Hi Craig, yes, the gravel road is due to be scraped and have more gravel spread. I have put in a call to a grader to get that worked. Regarding the house, I am aware that one of the kitchen cabinet doors needs to be repaired, but other than that, I am not aware of any other maintenence issues in the house. A house with a magical creek and a short walk to the beautiful Chatahoochee River
I told my girls, I rented this place for the outside, not the inside. Although the house is also nice and clean, the best part about it is the location, and that we could bring our dogs with us. We had fun exploring the creek behind it and making our way down the creek to the river. You feel like you have your own private oasis in the backyard complete with small waterfalls, lightening bugs at night, the coolest rock wall, and a hot tub under the trees (and lights). Follow the rock wall path along the creek down to the Chatahoochee River and you will find a picnic table and also a place with chairs by the water to fish. Look for the sign by the water telling you to cross over the river on the shallow rocks and that was our favorite part of all. Hopping over rocks to find the best place to stop and take a swim in the ice cold water, take in the beautiful view, read a book, and enjoy the feeling of total peace and relaxation listening to the sound of the river with the sun shining on your face. My kids swam and played in the river with the inner tubes supplied by the owner and had a blast. We also went to Wildwood Outfitters not far away and went kayaking down the river, which was also so much fun. The beach has always been my happy place but this is a close second, maaaaybe a tie for first? It was our first time in Georgia and a great week of exploring just a little piece of it. I could’ve easily stayed another week, but I’m sure my coworkers wouldn’t be happy with me.

Slopes galore. Bring your hiking shoes.
Beautiful property with private creek waterfalls and river view. Lots of stairs to access the cabin and upstairs BR. Nice cabin with great living / dining area. Beautiful fireplace and large windows. (No screens ... could not listen to the creek falls from inside and rain prevented use of the uncovered deck). Very private and quiet. Driveway can be an initial challenge, but it's manageable.

Great access to water views / quiet and serene
Very convenient to local towns in the area with many things to do; shop, eat and water activities. House is easy to find. Nice walk to the river near by or down to the nice sitting / hang out area by the creek that’s nearest to the house. With recent rains the waterfall was moving great. Quick communication through out the process. You’re going to the mountains. Expect driving and walking among hills; not always flat ground. Would be a place we’d venture to again.

Dreamy home away from home on the Chattahoochee
What a wonderful place to spend spring break with the kids and pups. The house was fully stocked, and there was plenty of space to spread out to play games, read a book, or watch TV. We used the hot tub multiple times a day and made a little fire in the pit down by the creak for s’mores. We ventured out each day for a hike or to visit nearby Helen, but we always returned to cook dinner and enjoy the place. The steep driveway was a little frightening for this Florida girl, but the van didn’t seem to have an issue with it. We’ll be back!

Quick pre-Christmas craze getaway
My husband and I took our 3 dogs away for a couple days before the craziness of Christmas and we picked the perfect location. We weren’t worried about the dogs in daycare and just relaxed and explored the local area. We can’t wait to bring the grandkids back in the summer, so much to explore and places for them to explore and play.

Fabulous property with fabulous views
This rental was everything promised and so much more! House was spacious and clean, Easily accommodates 6-8 people, plenty of extra room to bring air mattresses for more guests. Really enjoyed the large kitchen, two full baths and a half as well. Host was a text away. Seriously, don’t miss this rental. Loved exploring the property it’s on the Chattahoochee river with a picturesque creek as well, lovely small waterfalls to be heard on the large porch. Hot Tub with cute dangling lights at night. Intricate rock wall placed strategically thru the property, makes a great private pool, views are fantastic! Loved this mountain vacation with future visits in the planning stage❤️

Best yet on VRBO so far for us. A+
Our small group found everything that WE were looking for here at Stonewall. We were so fortunate that we arrived maybe three days before the leaf change peak and the following five days. Wow what a show! House was great in all respects. Clean, neat and homey. The views from almost anywhere are amazing on the property, but the deck in the afternoon is especially nice. Hearing the river, creek and crickets was sublime. We really enjoyed the visits to Yonah mt winery. Allison’s Honey going toward Cleveland a couple miles is great for raw honey fans, prices were good and they have local made MEAD (Honey Beer). We went out on the river almost everyday. Our yellow lab probably had more fun than any of us. Wish I could post a photo of her dog smile. So many many pros to this property but have to mention a few cons. The folks who stayed before us left unbaged stinky garbage in the bottom of pail where all garbage needs to be bagged. Not the owners fault. The driveway is a bit steep. We didn’t have a problem in my two wheel drive truck when driveway was dry but when wet it was kinda suspenseful. The property itself is more suited for outdoorsy folks in my opinion. The grade from house is not level as it drops down to river but good shoes and patience will get you there. River or creek back to house is a workout for flatlanders like us. ( This should not be a surprise as it’s in the mountains like the owner said previously) Love to see a fire pit closer to house. Creek fire pit was nice but was kinda hard to carrying wood in the dark. All in all 5 stars, highly recommended.

Peaceful and Naturally Beautiful
We had a wonderful time at the property. Waze GPS did not route us correctly to the house (we saw afterwards this had also happened to others) We used the map and directions in the VRBO app and it took us straight to the house. The driveway is a little steep but navigable with a "regular" vehicle. The creek is visible from the house, and sitting on the deck listening to the water is very peaceful. The hot tub with strung lights was relaxing after busy days. Smart TVs worked well and our mobile signal was good at the house. The orchard road to the gravel drive was beautiful and the house's location feels like you're in a tree house in the woods. The overall location was convenient to several places. We enjoyed Helen's Oktoberfest, although it was VERY busy on Saturday. Clarkesville was very cute and had a Fall Festival happening by chance the day we arrived, which the kids enjoyed. We enjoyed our trip very much and would recommend the property!

The property does not sleep 8 as described. Sleeps 6 if 2 are small and can fit in full bed. No answer from hist when called multiple times. Not enough paper products supplied. Other than that the house and surroundings are very nice.

We had a great 4 days at this property. We were using Waze gps which did not take us to the house. We switched to Google maps and it got us very close. Once google maps had told us we had arrived when we hadn't, we pulled up the directions from the owner and it took us the rest of the way. Make sure to follow his directions. The road there is a dirt and gravel road. The driveway to the house is paved. It is a little steep, but we had no problems. The front of the house faces the Chattahoochee River. You can see it from the deck. The side deck, where we drank our coffee in the morning and our wine at night, faces the creek. You have the sounds of the creek and river. The rock wall that you follow down to the river is amazing and must have taken someone a lot of time and patience. We set in the adirondack chairs down by the river and even ventured out to the island in the middle. We also enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs down by the creek. It is so peaceful and beautiful down there. We had no issues with the house and if I had a question, the owner was quick to reply. The downstairs master had a queen bed. We wound up staying upstairs as there was a king bed up there and we are used to sleeping on a king. Bathroom is right beside the bedroom. All TV's are smart TV's and worked great. Hot tub was amazing after a day of exploring. We were close to Helen and made a few trips to sight see and eat. We went to Anna Ruby Falls and hiked up to see the waterfalls, I highly recommend. It's beautiful. We checked out a few wineries and Nora Mills General Store where we got a bag of stone ground grits to bring home. I would definitely stay here again.
