Had a wonderful stay! Cottage had everything we could have wanted. Fishing was good, and enjoyed the nice yard, deck, and campfires!!. Close to town to get food and supplies. Would definitely recommend!

Very satisfied with the accomodations. I am an accomplished bass fisherman. The fishing was disappointing (all catch & release). Of the twenty or so bass I caught, all but one was WELL under 1 lb. Bass pictures seem to be from a while ago. It is as if the DNR stocked the lake with bass fry last spring and now all are around 6" in length. This is not a reflection on your place, but a comment from someone who probably spent 30 hours fishing. We would definitely re-book if there was a decent catch. My wife loved your place, and Delton is quaint and just the right size.

Relaxation

Being late September, we enjoyed viewing the lake but we didn’t get in or on the water. The sunsets were spectacular! The cabin is very homey, clean and comfortable. Checking in at night is difficult because there are no outside lights. We would return.

Charming location

It was a nice stay- the view from the cottage is nice and location was great because I have family in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Battle Creek- I flew in and they did provide linens but for 5 days we had 1 towel each and 1 wash cloth- no washer and drier on site- coffee pot probably needs a replace. That said the place was warm and welcoming- think grandmas cottage.

Great little cabin

Nice cabin on the lake. Super quiet. Not much for tv channels and no wifi but we enjoyed the disconnected part. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice quiet neighborhood. Peaceful. Beautiful lake view. Convenience store nearby with everything needed. Furnace is a bit loud. Otherwise wonderful weekend getaway.

Beautiful Cottage on Lake 21

We really enjoyed our family get together weekend. This cottage was Amazing, Cute and Very Clean! We enjoyed everything from cooking on the Grill, to sitting in front of the gas fireplace, the porch had a beautiful view of the lake and the fire pit was ready, with plenty of wood for a wonderful evening fire. The wildlife was so cute and adorable with everything from baby squirrels to fuzzy ducks, baby turtles and chipmunks. I loved this place and would definitely come again!!

We were in the area for my Mother’s Memorial Service.

The setting was nice, a lake front cottage with nice views. Unfortunately the weather was cool and rainy. We woke up on our last morning to a dusting of snow. The furnace is annoying, very loud. The main bathroom is only accessible by walking through a bedroom. Very limited closet space. The beds are very comfortable and the living area seating is comfortable as well.

Very quiet on a beautiful lake

The pictures gave an accurate view of the property. Actually it was nicer than the pictures portrayed. If you are looking for fancy with high end stuff, this isn’t it. If you are looking for an amazing week with peace and quiet in a stress free place, this is perfect. The weather was low 90’s and high humidity while we were there. No air conditioning but there are many fans to use. There seems to be a perpetual breeze off the lake. Leaving the windows open and a fan or two and it was very comfortable in the cabin. We had no issues with sleeping. Anyone that loves birds will really love this cabin. There were blue herons, blue birds, various wood peckers, Baltimore orioles, gold finches, cardinals, nuthatches, sand hill cranes, wild turkeys, and countless others. We did not fish on this trip but hear that the fishing is quite good. I do recommend this place and plan to stay here Again for sure.

Tranquil lake reunion

This quiet lake cottage was a great place to reconnect with college buddies. There were between 4-6 of us here at one time. The kitchen/living are was a nice open layout that connects to the sunroom(one of the beds(queen) is off to the side of sunroom) with lots of windows and awesome views of the lake. There is a nice size kitchen table with 6 chairs and the living area seats 5 comfortably. There are two bedrooms with a double bed in each. The beds were a little worn. We brought our own sheets and towels which was not a problem. The stove/oven is electric, a nice size fridge/ freezer, toaster, coffee maker( a little slow) and stovetop kettle(hot water for tea) all appliances we happily utilized. The shower tub off one of the bedrooms was in good shape and there was plenty of hot water for showers and washing dishes by hand. There is also a smaller half bath. Admittedly we didn’t use boat or paddle boat but we did enjoy the deck and backyard. Loved our two days here and would stay again at this beautiful location.

Comfortable, well-equipped, awesome views, Great Lake, quiet, good value.

If you're looking for fancy, updated, AC or internet...this is probably not the place for you. But if you're good with clean, comfortable, functional and a GREAT value...then look no more! We were a family with 6 adults. The cottage was well equipped for our needs. The views of this beautiful, picturesque, quiet lake are amazing from inside the cabin, the deck, the large grassy shaded front yard and from the water. We enjoyed a campfire overlooking the lake one night and lots of water time-on the water with the many options for that included and in the water that was a delightful temperature for swimming. A few tidbits: the full bath is inside the Master, so people will need to come in there to shower/bath, the Master bed was especially comfortable for a rental, there was a kayak included which was a pleasant surprise for our family, the kitchen was WELL equipped (I brought some things from home I wouldn't have needed), you do bring your own sheets & towels, there's a gas grill, access to shed with floaties, etc, clothesline for drying wet stuff, lots of parking (we had 3 cars) and there's internet access, groceries and a Starbucks 15 minutes away. If you have small children, there is no beach...you go down stairs to the waterfront, directly onto the dock and it gets deep pretty quickly...so you might want to consider that. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat if we weren't moving to MN at the end of the month! Thanks for a great place to spend quality time together with our adult kids who all live far away!

Lake is nice, great swimming, kayaking, no fast boats. But we couldn’t use one of the kayaks (it leaked) so we’re unable to go out together, and the paddle boat and row boat were full of water when we got there and so heavy we couldn’t turn them over to drain. Disappointed that there was stuff sitting around like a broken barbecue, part of an old pier in the yard.

This lake house is on a quiet lake that is perfect for morning coffee on the back porch or those who love to fish. There is an awesome space in the shed for conveniently cleaning fish. Unfortunately I did not realize there was no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans. A window A/C unit would have helped greatly! For just 3 of us, it was a perfect getaway!

Peaceful!!

We are 3 senior ladies who relaxed and played games along with finding good places to eat in the surrounding area. We were warned that a storm had taken a large tree down across the steps to the lake, but they had it cleared away before we got there. We didn’t venture down the steps because of some damage to cement steps and no railing, but we loved, loved the sunsets!! We would rent again.

Beautiful views. Was pleased immediately with the property. Quiet area with plenty of wild life to enjoy all the acorns on the property. Very relaxing weekend for us to enjoy. Not too far from restaurants or grocery.

Cute cottage

Had a great stay. Would stay again if in area. We had clear instructions re the house/check out etc. Very clean. Lovely view of lake front. We didn’t use any of kayaks? As we were gone a lot during the day. Their fire insert was cosy on a miserable rainy night.

Perfect cottage and location

My family enjoyed the cottage! They spent the mornings on fromt deck with coffee overlooking the lake. Their days were very busy attending events at The Gilmore, but it was very relaxing for them when they arrived back to the cottage. Sleeping was very comfortable. The kitchen stocked with everything they needed if they were cooking. They appreciated the convenient location to great restaurants and cafes. The cottage was a peaceful respite to a fun weekend!
