"The lady at check in was very cold as far as being welcoming. She assigned my room and didn't even attempt to explain where the room could be found, like she had just done for the customer before me. I finally found my room and went to open the door, to find that the room was filthy as if the prior customer had just checked out of this room. It hadn't even been touched by housekeeping yet after their check out. I picked up the phone and called down to the front desk to tell her that I was upset and that the room hadn't been cleaned yet. She explained that I would have to make the long walk back to the front desk if I wanted to have a different room assigned to me. My hands were full of my belongings and it was pouring rain outside and freezing. It was a complete nightmare of an experience. I went back to the front desk and then she said I'm sorry about that and reassigned me a new room and yet again, didn't even attempt to tell me where to find the room. I guess if I was a man instead of a woman, she would've decided to have been more helpful like she was with the man who checked in right before me. Very unprofessional behavior and ridiculous. The front desk clerks need to learn how to talk to guests and be helpful. The rooms are very outdated and have a stale smell, almost like mildew. Don't waste your money on this hotel. The bar staff in the lounge was very unprofessional as well."

"Breakfast, no yogert, no butter, no eggs, but they had link sausage??? Go figure. I guess they wanted you to eat those waffles you make yourself, but still no butter. The area was spotless clean, which was a bonus."

"The rooms are smoke free, which is great, but I had to walk by 2 rooms where people were smoking right outside of their doors and the smell was coming into my room. Should have a designated smoking area away from rooms."

"Powdered eggs and mystery sausage…basic and awful breakfast. Rooms are old and worn out. Nasty backed up tub and dirty carpet. Remote for TV wasn’t the right one to operate functions. Very disappointed "

"This was a very clean, convenient, and comfortable place to stay in the middle of Del Rio. If you are going through there and need an affordable place to stay, this is the place. Owners are very friendly as well."
