  • This suite is fully contained. All you have to do is arrive and enjoy. The historic Phelps Mansion is full of historic character from the original kitchen cabinets to the hardwood floors throughout the unit. There have been many updates through the rehab process and offers many modern amenities. This unit is a two bedroom with new Amish beds and very comfortable Queen mattresses. Located in the living room are two couches. One is an exceptionally comfortable Queen pull-out sleeper, the additional couch can be used to sleep the 7th guest. The kitchen is stocked with all kitchen wares; dishware, silverware, plates, bowls, pots, pans, bakeware, coffee pot, toaster, and microwave. (Serving for 6) Full size refrigerator and gas stove. Free Wi-Fi & cable. Large flat screen TV. Parking available.

We enjoyed our weekend in Suite #2. It was a great fit for the four of us - much roomier than sharing one hotel room. It was clean and comfortable and close to downtown and the Luther campus.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this property! Great location, incredibly clean, comfortable beds, easy parking, well stocked kitchen, and wonderful decor! We were pleasantly surprised by an excellent shower as well! The property owners were very easy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. It is always nice to come across such hospitable hosts! We will definitely stay here again!!

This VRBO was fabulous! Perfectly located close to Luther college and walking distance to downtown Decorah. The check-in process was easy, and Bruce was excellent & quick with communication. We will definitely stay here again. I appreciated the well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, comfortable beds and a wonderful washer & dryer. Also, it was super clean. It’s a very comfortable place to stay, and I highly recommended it!

Girls trip

Had a wonderful stay here! Smelled like pumpkin spice as we walked to the front door. There was enough room for 4 adult women and all our things for a long weekend. The kitchen was stocked and had a lot of stuff to cook with as far as appliances go. The only downfalls were that there was a lot of little bugs at the front of the property, but seemed to be a thing around town too. Another thing is the manager asked for a drivers license to be sent via text to their personal number and wouldn’t allow it to be sent through the app because they said it wouldn’t go through. So be aware of that if you want to book this place. Super cute town and super responsive to questions. Thanks for a great weekend!
