Cute house on the river
We loved our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out & have our own space. We enjoyed the dock & took out some kayaks & paddled around. Unfortunately it rained at night so we were unable to have a fire pit. The place was spotless & the kitchen was fully stocked with all kinds of pots, pans , plates , etc. We hosted a dinner at night & we loved the indoor - outdoor kitchen / dining room combo right out to the deck. Out only " warning " is the staircase is a spiral so not really good for uner age 3 friendly. We were all adults so it was perfectly fine for us. If we came back to this area we would definitely rent from here again

Wonderful trip to Decatur, TN. My family and I had a great time at "A Piece of Paradise". The house was clean and had everything we needed. We did a little fishing and went to Ruby Falls in Chattanooga. A big thanks to the property owner for letting us stay. We would love to stay here again soon!! "The Fletchers"

Very small, weird layout
Pictures makes this property and home look way bigger than it really is. Ok stay if you’re planning on staying out side your whole trip. No place to get comfortable in the house. Comfort was not thought of when getting this vacation rental put together. From the beds and sheets to the tiny bathroom downstairs. Not accommodating for more than two people.

Well, my 1st non-4 or 5 star review. Sorry you thought the house was small. It isn't a huge house but it is laid out very efficiently. The main dining can seat 8 with extra room to walk around, media room seats 6 with a view of 60" TV. Two queen beds you can walk on both sides and 2 large twin beds with about 4' between them. Huge porch with a grill and covered rear porch. I think it's great and plan on retiring to the home. Yes most visitors come to play outside (your on a lake in beautiful TN with tons of hiking). I think in the off season a 3 bedroom fully stocked home for $150 a night is quite the deal. Sorry you felt like I deserved a 2 star review.

Our stay was nice, the volume on the tv would not turn up or down, at first. So we unplugged the tv and plugged it back in and it worked fine after that. The beds are comfy, but each bedroom is on a different floor, and there are 3 floors. We felt safe and no one bothered us. The lake was dry, but we didn't go there for that. Lovely home, would stay again. Tons of ladybugs inside he house.

Wonderful Time!
We enjoyed our stay, and the weather was perfect. Everything was as advertised on the listing. The highlight of our trip was being able to kayak on the river each day. We would definitely recommend this home and plan on coming back again next year.

Wonderful weekend
The property was very nice and the river was amazing. We hardly passed a boat and it was nice to not see a ton of houses lining the river bank just nature. There was a river otter that hung out with us around the dock and we saw 2 bald eagles. The kitchen was nicely equipped for me to cook 3 dinners and a breakfast. We would definitely recommend to friends and plan to stay again next year.

Thank you for the great review. I have seen one of the bald eagles in the area but not 2. Also I was unaware that we now have a otter hanging out. We will keep our eyes open next time there. we also really love the peace and quiet of the area.

The igniter has gone bad on the grill or it's battery died. Next guest used a lighter. Will look at it next week

Great fishing getaway!
The lake house was beautifully remodeled and well appointed. The covered dock was perfect for our boat. Electricity was located at the dock to charge batteries and keep the boat dry and ready for the next day. There’s plenty of space for a truck and trailer and an extra car. the house had Wi-Fi and satellite television. The home was very clean and had a great kitchen for family meals. We had a great time!

Had a great time, even in the rain!
Our family had a really nice vacation at this property. It was very quiet, and felt isolated, even though there were houses nearby. Being on the water was so nice, the whole family got to kayak together! We caught lots of fish right from the dock too. While it rained a lot, there was still lots to do at the house or within an hour of us. This was our first time using VBRO and everything went very smoothly.

The property was easy to find and the circular driveway made pulling boat trailers thru very easy. We had 4 guys and two boats and the house more than accommodated our needs both inside and out. There is plenty of great outdoor space to enjoy with the partially covered deck, tables, chairs, and a very nice fire pit. The dock had electricity too for recharging our boats nightly after long days on the lake. Great place! Thanks for the hospitality!

Weekend Getaway
This place is perfect for getting away from the routine grind of life. Very peaceful and quiet, in spite of having neighbors all around. Everyone that lives in that cove was super friendly and would greet us while we kayaked by their properties. The highlight of our stay was sitting on the large back deck and just listening to the sounds of the water and wildlife. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent property with lake access
This was exactly what we were looking for! Chickamauga was on our bucket list for fishing. We were able to stay in a beautiful, spacious, clean home that was right on the lake. It has a private, covered dock with a boat ramp which was very close to the property, both on land and water. We were able to just get up and go fishing! It was a much needed R&R! We celebrated our anniversary the best way for us! Thanks again Keith for opening you beautiful home to us, and providing everything needed for a no worries get away!

Perfect location for a family fishing trip!
This home was perfect for our vacation! The water was still low at the dock, but we were still able to put the boat there. The home had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and in close proximity to town for grocery shopping and a few restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet getaway
The setting of this rental is quiet and beautiful on a small lake cove. Even though there were neighboring houses, this rental had a very private feel. It was a nice place to relax.

We had a great time. Caught some fish around the boat dock, enjoyed just relaxing on the water with the family. Fish fry on Friday at the campground was delicious. The loft area was a little warm for my girls, wished there had been some more light on the boat dock for some night fishing. All in all we had a great time.

A great visit
We had a great stay! The house was lovely and in a good location for our visit. Constructive criticism: (1) the bottom floor is a little awkward. It’s the only room with a television, but there’s not sufficient seating. The tables could definitely be replaced with a sectional. Also, the tv has no streaming options other than Netflix. (2) we wished we had tvs in the bedrooms.

Nice place...layout of house kinda odd but we enjoy it. It was our second stay.
I like the property and he made a change that helps with getting boats parked. It's still not great boat situation but it's doable. I would like to see coffee, creamer and sugar there for arriving guests. It does not cost much to have a pound of coffee there for your arrivals. Overall it's a very nice place, clean and we will likely use it again in the future.

Lovely home and perfect peaceful vacation.
This was our first experience with Vrbo and it was excellent. We live just an hour away in Chattanooga and were looking for a place to take our boat and not have to trailer it. This location was ideal. The cove was very quiet even though there were other houses on it. You wouldn't even know you had neighbors. The lake on this section is so peaceful and remote. There were hardly any other boats on the water. The house was immaculate. The kitchen well stocked. The owner suggested we bring paper towels. We did plus lots of other things. I didn't find a cutting board and was glad I bought my own. We used up the aluminum foil but left paper plates, napkins and fire wood for the next guests too. The owner was very hospitably and answered every question we had. Make sure you don't use the Kayak with the hole in it like my husband had the misfortune of finding out the hard way as he sunk into the cove. He almost lost his good fishing pole. But was able to save it since the lure floated on the water. The other Kayak was fine and he didn't sink in that one. We loved the location and the home so much we plan on booking again.

I’ve retired that Kayak. Was unaware of the problem. I offer the kayaks at no charge upon request, unfortunately people are sometimes hard on them. Glad he didn’t lose the pole.

Home is very well decorated & appointed. The owner is easy to reach & quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only hopes for improvement would be: better mattresses on the twin beds & the option to book for 2 days rather than mandatory 3.

Wonderful vacation!
This place ranks in the top two stays we’ve ever had. The house was spotless and beautifully updated, the owner was very helpful and responsive, and the access to beautiful boating water was incredible. Kitchen was well stocked, there were games and movies for rainy days, kayaks available for guest use, and a great fire pit that even had wood available. We were there with our passel of teen boys and our younger daughter with our ski boat and spent the whole week on the water. The river is so smooth and beautiful for skiing and tubing and there is a little marina with gas right on the cove. Our daughter spent hours trying to pet one of the wild bunnies that roam the yard, and a few of us ventured less than an hour for some white water rafting fun. Perfect location for some unplugged family fun (although the WiFi works great) and we’re already talking about a return trip next summer.

The small house is decorated really cute and bright. Loved kayaking in the cove and lake and just sitting on the dock. Due to spiral stairs in home and steep and broken steps to water best for ages 12 and up probably.

Beautiful home
Everything was amazing, only thing was no ice in ice maker. But we just grabbed a bag at the store, no biggie. Also, if you are Fisherman- there is not “real fishing” off the dock… lol just bait fish. But it was a beautiful home, close to the lake and different docks, easy to get to town. We ate at Jacob Myers which was pretty decent food, and they had a live band. Also the pizza place-1st Avenue- was really good!! We can also recommend Jacob Foust or Scott Patton for fishing guides!! They both put us on great fish, we had a blast! Thanks, we will definitely be back!

Thanks for the positive review. Check the Facebook page for some fish that were caught off of the kayaks in the cove. Surprised me too. I have installed a new ice maker that is working great. I didn’t know that the old one had stopped working. I would like to recommend the restaurant right next to the pizza place as well, great food.

We had a great time at the property with all aspects as being described. The welcome documents provided by the owner made the entire process Easy with all possible questions answered.
