Greta modern rustic cabin. Loved the location and scenery. Great access to Deadwood entertainment and local trails. Manager was very responsive and easy to work with. Great stay!
Loved the location of this house/cabin. It was small, yet big. Perfect for our group of 8. Close to Deadwood and Lead, yet out in the country. It was peaceful and relaxing. No WiFi, but that was okay because it's good to disconnect sometimes.
Having just retired this trip was a start at checking off the bucket list and it was an awesome start! The cabin was exactly what was expected and a little more! Finding relaxation was injected into this experience! The sound of the creek whether sitting on the one of the two decks or sitting in the hot tub was straight out of a novel. We had time to ourselves and group time all in one cabin. Definitely a memory that will be cherished. THANK YOU!
This place is a hidden gem!!!! Rustic, cozy, clean with all the modern amenities. The stream running through the back yard was amazing- our 3 kiddos loved panning and exploring it for hours and hours. We spent the mornings on the back deck sipping coffee, and a fire in the evenings from the double fireplace. The hot tub was the perfect ending to our day!! No wifi!! That was a BIG bonus, we needed this more than I thought we did, it was so nice to be off the grid. :)
Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The property is beautiful. We loved the hot tub and the peaceful setting. The wildlife right outside the window. Just what we needed!!!
We had a fun family experience at this property. No cell service and a quiet location made it easy to convince our kids to play some board games and laugh with us ;). It was a good location for jumping on some ATV trails during the day and listening to the backyard stream at night. Overall a good stay.
Everyone in our family had a great and relaxing time. Only thing wrong was that we didn’t stay longer. We have stayed in cabins all around the United States and this is hands down the best all around cabin. The cabin is very well thought out and built very well. We will definitely be back in the fall.

Dirty. Water smell was unlivable. Downed trees. TVs didn’t work. Fireplace filled the building with smoke. Grill was rusted. Oven struggled to heat.
The cabin was nothing short of amazing! Beautiful creek running behind the cabin! It is a very picturesque location. You do not have any kind of cell service until you get about 5-10 mins from the cabin so that can be kind of interesting but it was a much needed break from reality! The water does smell like sulfur so bring jugs of water for cooking/drinking. We love South Dakota! So much to do around the area!
I have a group of friends that get together for a friends Christmas
The right size of place, backyard had a creek that provided us adventure and tranquility. The inside had an amazing fireplace for hanging out and enjoying conversations. Modern and well done workmanship throughout the house. Absolutely would stay again. The no wifi and cell service was a bit of a shock; but if you can get rid of the reservations of being stuck with the people you are with,it is blissful.
Great location and beautiful house. Needs some work
This is a beautiful house and creek in the back yard was gorgeous. However, the water smelled like rotten eggs. I hope they can get that fixed. It was very potent. We also missed not having a washer and dryer.
Week away with hubby and friends. Cabin was cozy and peaceful. Having no way to communicate by phone was a bit disconcerting. Not sure what someone would do if an emergency occurred. A land line at the very least would have been nice. Enjoyed out stay and loved the fireplace.
Quiet get away.
I really did love this property.
However with no Wi-Fi or cell service it did feel scary at times. We came after dark. The lighting in the cabin was very dark and there were no matches or any way to light a fire that we could find, nothing we couldn’t grab at the store though while in town. TV made it uncomfortable to rest and relax on the couch as it was up so high, and we couldn’t get the TV upstairs to work.
GORGEOUS views! Loved the hot tub.
Could do without the stinky water.
We arrived with a crew of nine people, ages 2-85, for a long Thanksgiving weekend. We loved it; SUCH a beautiful place! The upper and lower balconies were so, so cool. You can hear the creek flowing just below, you are in the quiet trees up against a magnificent rock wall. We built fires in the huge fireplace which was so cozy! There was room to gather as a group but also quiet spaces to be alone and enjoy nature. No wifi, no cell service, which was incredibly peaceful, yet you can drive a few short miles into town to get service and check your messages if you need to. The decor is unique and perfect! We used the hot tub as well which was amazing. They have Dish network on the main tv, so we found the “fireplace channel” and put it on, and so had the real fire and the tv fire, which was cute! Also, the guys were able to watch a couple of football games. We brought dvds, cards, board games and toys for the three kids. We saw groups of turkeys parading down the road, and a buck in the driveway as well!
A head’s up: Bring firewood and paper/cardboard for kindling if you wish to build a fire- or you can purchase wood in town (it was $6.99 a bundle at the gas station)
Bring plenty of gallons of drinking water and bottles of water, especially if you plan to cook and make daily coffee. If you are looking to cook a lot, you might want to bring an extra sauce pan, skillet or large cook pot for soups. They do have some of these in the kitchen, but just the bare minimum. If you are only a couple, it’s plenty- but if you are a large group wanting to cook big meals, I would recommend bringing along some of those mentioned items. I brought a large cook pot and a potato masher for our Thanksgiving feast, anticipating that it may not have those and I was glad I did!
The bedroom to the side of the main cabin is a very cozy space! If it is cold outside, start the heater up right away to get it nice and warm! That side cabin has no curtains on the windows, so we just hung one of the blankets up on the side facing the main house for privacy.
We would absolutely return to this gorgeous cabin. This is a WONDERFUL getaway haven.
We would highly recommend it!
