So I booked this motel based on the “good” reviews posted by other individuals who have stayed here. That was a mistake!
The Motel Building: fairly unappealing square building on the same lot as the Comfort Inn and Tim Hortons
Check In: typical check in process with the front desk Indian man (who wasn’t the most friendly person). Thankfully, it was a smooth and quick process.
The Room: Walked in and noted that it felt musty. Immediately turned on the A/C, which immediately kicked on. I booked a 2 Queen Bed room (Room 25) and went to sit/lay on one of the mattresses and noted how HARD the mattress felt. I could tell the mattresses were old/springy and the pillows were the WORST pillows I have ever layed my head upon.
The Bathroom: the SMALLEST bathroom I have ever seen in a motel room! A bedroom closet seemed larger than this bathroom. The towels were the smallest towels I have seen in a motel room and smelled heavily of bleach. I looked at the tub/shower and noticed the SMALLEST showerhead I have ever seen in my life. Also, I noticed how low hanging the showerhead was on the wall. The water pressure was the WORST water pressure I have ever encountered in my life!
*The road noise from the freeway was loud enough to hear in the room, which made for a noisy night and little sleep
Do yourself a favor and book yourself a better quality room, but if you are looking for a no-frill, budget room… then this is the place to stay
