Easter stay

We had a great time at this house! Plenty of bedrooms and baths for two families and to have other family for Easter! This is the second or third staying at this house and have loved it everytime! Appreciate snacks and plenty to cook and have meals with family.

Annual Friend/Family trip

We have four kids, two in college at JMU. The proximity of the house to JMU was great! There was lots of room for people to move around and the pool was great.

Lovely and fun family hangout

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this house. It felt very spacious so everyone had room to spread out and play. The kids really loved the zip line and the diving board in the pool. The location is quiet and feels private, but it's only a short drive to great restaurants and lots of farm markets to stock the kitchen. It is a lovely space and we would definitely stay again!

Amazing Trip

This trip was absolutely amazing. My family and our friends met in the middle of where we live and spent a long weekend together. The property was perfect for 2 families, tons of stuff to do, tons of space, and clean. The owner was super kind and thoughtful. We highly recommend it to anyone.

A sweet Thanksgiving

This location was exactly what our family needed for a restorative holiday. We enjoyed the surroundings, the comfortable beds, and beautiful fireplaces. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner and a nice, big couch to lounge on after filling our bellies. 10/10 would come back to this location as it’s the halfway point for our families to meet.

Perfect location and property

We stayed at this property for the weekend of our daughter's graduation from JMU and it was PERFECT! It accommodated all of my family and we were able to have a "meeting place" for everyone before heading to graduation. Very clean and cozy and the property is gorgeous! Host was super responsive and very accommodating! Go DUKES! :)

Guys Getaway

Me and my four friends have been doing an annual “guys getaway” going on six years now. This house was by far the best we have stayed at. The house was exactly as described and pictured. The owner was quick to respond to any questions. The house is in a great location and there were a lot of places to go hiking. Lots of wildlife in the area and every night we saw multiple deer meandering around the yard. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vaca

We loved the pool. The house and property were very clean and well kept. Fully stocked kitchen, bed linens, towels, and even shower products provided just like a hotel! There was also wood for the fire pit. We only had to bring food, although our host thoughtfully stocked some snacks and frozen pizzas for the first night in case we didn’t want to drive all the way back to town after check-in for groceries. Good hiking/cycling trails just up the road from the house as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Quiet Getaway

We absolutely loved this property for our weekend getaway. The house is amazing (loved the wood burning stove although obviously not in use). Super comfortable and clean. Would definitely rent again!

Family Fun!

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely property. We stayed here with family and friends and there was plenty of space to spread out. The dining room was perfect for afternoons of card games and puzzles. We cooked every day and the kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the availability of hiking and fishing and we enjoyed the fire pit in the afternoons and evenings. Can’t wait to come back when we can enjoy the pool!
