Fun time
This property is unique and interesting. The host is responsuve and kind. The hoise is spacious and has a beautifully large porch. We loved the long table in the middle of the main house. It was fun to enjoy a birthday meal all together. Lastly, my bed was extreemely comfortable. We will go back.

The pictures online don’t look like the house. It was beyond beautiful. Just enough space for my guest..the kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. Host was great respond to our questions.

Great Visit!
James was so fantastic! He met us at the property to show us around, and was so hospitable. The only thing that I would’ve changed is that it could have been a tiny bit cleaner (random hairs in sinks), and the drive way was terrible. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Overall, beautiful property and great host!

Great retreat getaway
A very welcoming retreat in the beautiful north Georgia mountains area. It was unique to find a home with enough beds for our 8 ladies that we didn't have to share a bed or climb up into a bunk bed. The home was clean and as described in the listing. In fact, seeing the home in person looked even nicer than the photos! The kitchen has 3 ovens and upscale appliances for anyone wanting to cook. It would be a great location for a family Thanksgiving gathering. There is plenty of parking if people are driving separately. We highly recommend Off The Grid Lodge!

Perfect mountain getaway close to Dahlonega & Hwy 400
This was a perfect cabin for our group of 9. It is furnished better than many others. The hosts were quick to respond, informative, and very thorough while making sure everything was ready for us. The cabin is a quick drive to wineries as well as Dahlonega & Dawsonville's shopping and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and plan to visit again. Thank you James for all of your help in planning a great ladies' getaway.

A little glimpse of heaven on earth.
We needed a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle to reboot and spend quality time as family. This cabin is just the place. We had everything we needed to make our family meals and the large dining table was excellent for game nights. Even with the cold nights outside the large fireplace inside was perfect for snuggles and making great memories. We recommend OTG for any family or friends that need to reboot, reflect and make lasting memories. ~ Heaven on Earth

Fabulous Thanksgiving!
I can’t say enough about our stay, it was wonderful. James is a great host. There were so many thoughtful touches all throughout the house. We took kitchen items because we have never stayed somewhere that had everything that we needed to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! Everything was so comfortable and clean. The house is very unique and has a really neat history. Dahlonega is such a quaint little town and we look forward to visiting again and staying at this house. Thank you to James!

What a gem!
We had a most wonderful experience, this place is a gem! The owners have paid attention to every small detail and left you wanting for nothing. The location is perfect to get to the nearby wineries . The home itself is gorgeous, rustic and timeless. Book it!!

Girls Trip
This cabin is amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice! The back porch is perfect for morning coffee and conversation in a beautiful setting. Beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway! We would definitely book this cabin again in the future. We had a group of 10 ladies and we had plenty of room for all. James was very responsive and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend!!!

Was a wonderful visit. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and clean. I believe our favorite part was the back porch. We enjoyed sitting outside and just talking. I highly suggest this cabin if your going towards this area.

Great Stay for Bridal Party
We were hosting our daughter's wedding at venue in Dahlonega. She happened across this listing for the bridesmaids, spouses and children. Worked out well for everyone! The road was quite smooth, the driveway is definitely narrow, steep and sharp . . . as the owner says "take your Land Rover, not your Corvette" - was glad I didn't drive my Tesla to the house! Great stay! Highly recommend.

Off the Grid was a great property for our family during a wedding weekend. The lodge has a very large common living space surrounded by a covered patio with ample seating. The dining table is long and accommodated our group easily. The kitchen was very well appointed with top of the line appliances and everything we needed. The bedrooms were peaceful and comfortable and the bathrooms immaculate. Communication with James and Mary was easy and very timely. I highly recommend this unique property.

It was our second stay in this house. Everything was excellent as in the first time we stayed in. Very clean cozy house, very nice owner, the location is great about 1/2 hour from wineries, gold mines, Helena and many others places worth to see.

What a beautiful, unique property! We absolutely loved staying here! Our family had an excellent stay at the OTG cabin. The cabin is beautiful, roomy, and even better in person than the pictures show (and the pictures were what sold us on the property). We enjoyed it enough we may make this an annual stay with family.
