1 Bedroom Single Family Condo, Minutes from Slopes
10/10 Excellent
"The property was amazing! It was spacious, clean and so close to the main street as well as a walking path along the water! Towels for my dog were left by the door, which I thought was a very nice touch! Excellent stay and experience. Would definitely rent this again!"
"Place easy to find. Park right at the door. Only a 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. Very close to all the state and national parks. Got to see those huge wind mills close by too! Very quiet during the day and night and we were there over the 4th of July. From entering the door, it had a very nice " foyer" before going up the steps for any coats or shoes. This was the absolutely cleanest place we have ever stayed; all the way to the silverware and glasses with no spots and clean frigerator with fresh filtered water ready to use. I don't think there was anything we could have needed that was not supplied for kitchen/ cooking, laundry, linenes, and extra supplies. Such comfortable beds and the softest sheets, blankets, and even lap throw in the living room to watch the TV. The side by side recliners were like the size of a king bed. They were so comfortable we slept in them one night. They recline way back! It instantly felt like home. The love seat and side chair were just as plush. It was decorated beautifully! The shower had powerful hot water and your shampoo and body wash supplied. ( loved the body wash) The towels were huge, thick and soft. Could have used a few more hand towels but had plenty of wash clothes and towels so not really a problem. The lighting in ea room was good and we were impressed by the bedside and living room places to charge your devices/ phones. They passed the white sock test and even the lamps had no dust on them. I am a stickler about cleanliness. ( normally I clean when we arrive at VRBO"s before using bathroom and kitchen) The washer and dryer were great to use! . No laundry to do when we got home. The dishwasher was nice feature but we were happy to wash them by hand. A super treat was the ability to flip a switch for heat from the ceiling as you got out of the shower. Now that was a genuis idea! Also, it was a really hot wkd and the AC was great when coming back from long hikes. We were so comfortable in any way you would question. The coffee pods were nice even though we didnt use them but really greatful for the washer/ dryer supplies! The only thing we ran out of was paper towels. Maybe a few rolls extra would be nice. But plenty of dishes towels. Loved the big white shades and curtains for privacy but also to keep the place cool and nice to sleep in a dark room. No worries of falling at night as there were even night lights! A nice peaceful area to sit at night around a fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs or morning coffee but we were so busy we didnt use. But a nice big yard to use if wanted to play yard games. There were some supplied indoor games and books as a nice touch. Met a neighbor and couldn't have asked for nicer people. I felt safe to walk around the VRBO and to downtown alone and at night as we would walk back from having dinner just 5 min walk away. The town had a Dollar General and a well stocked grocery store for any needs. A 10 min walk or 2 min drive. We would definitely go back! The welcone binder on the table gave us specific info on using anything in the apartment and also had suggested areas to eat and shop with address supplied and some pamphlets and maps for local parks/ trails. Made it an easy start as there were so many trails and parks to choose from. The place smelled fresh and clean. It really felt like Home Away From Home. We are looking at your other VRBO locations as you have really thought of everything we would have ever needed! Thank you Aussie Man!

"The property was well kept and had all of the amenities we needed including en suite bathrooms for both bedrooms. The location is wonderful and gives easy access to walking around Davis."
"The property was nice and well styled. Loved the view from the patio. Having AC was a great inclusion for such an unusually hot week (being in the top floor bedroom made it even better). There were many great touches to the apartment (new appliances, toiletries, vintage furnishings, and locally sourced items) that made it comfortable and interesting. It was our first time staying in WV. It was a short, direct ride to Blackwater Falls. The town of Davis was a charming town, and many of restaurants (loved Milo’s) and other businesses in Davis and Thomas were welcoming. The history is interesting and complex, it was good to dive into the history (places like the riverfront and Coketon School)"

Fantastic 3-bedroom house in Davis perfect for your mountain getaway
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed for 2 nights of the 4th of July weekend and had a great stay. The owners were very sweet and came down to the house themselves to help us when we were accidentally given the wrong code to the the key lockbox and hand-delivered the most beautiful gift basket and flowers! There wasn’t any air conditioning in the house, but there was a ceiling fan in the living room and two portable fans in the closet. The owners also dropped off fans for us upon request. There were many dishes and towels provided as well, only issue was that some of towels were a bit dirty and ragged, but there was a wide selection to choose from so it wasn’t much of an issue. Location was also nice, right on the main street of Davis and across from the Shop ‘n Save, easy to access the near by restaurants and stores, and a quick drive to most of the popular hikes in the area."
"House was great for a stay in Davis. We loved the short drive to hiking and ability to walk to the breweries afterwards. The house was clean and had everything we needed."
"It was a great place for the 2 of us and our doggo. It's close to the towns of davis and Thomas. And really close to the resort at Canaan valley state park."
