"Property was clean, all staff was wonderful with the exception of the bearded guy at the front desk he seemed inconvenienced by the fact we were there.. Putt Putt was nice minus the $15 per-person that was a little much. Breakfast was lacking but it was quiet and a place to lay my head."
"The property was clean, cozy, well appointed with kitchen and laundary starter supplies, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a very pretty and efficient shower. Washer and dryer. With the windows opened the breeze was fantastic."
"Perfect little place for 2 adults and 2 young teenagers. It had everything we needed and the pool access was a bonus. Sitting on the front porch with a warm coffee in hand, made for perfect mornings. Everything was within 15 minutes which made it an ideal location for Blackwater or Canaan."
"The room was nice for the price. We were surprised at the amenities of dishes, coffee, condiments and even baggies. These things were not part of the listing description which would have been nice. The only thing, being as I an extra clean and picky, would be for the room to have a very thorough dusting. My allergies kicked up from the dust on baseboards and under furniture. . But I would still recommend and possibly return for another stay."
Peaceful 2BR Cabin - Davis • Thomas • Canaan • Timberline Ski-Hike-Ride in WV!
10/10 Excellent
"The place we booked called Tiny cabin, was well stocked with everything we needed. Includingextra blankets for the cold nights that do happen up in the mountains even in summer. Our host Bridget responded to every inquiry or question within minutes! She was so easy to work with. The area we stayed in was quiet and pet free! . I would highly recommend Bridget and any homes she offers because she truly wants you to have an enjoyable stay. We would do it again!"
Private mountainside chalet bordering Dolly Sods with beautiful panoramic view.

The Golden Eagle Vacation Rental, a 3 minute walk to Timberline Ski Slopes
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time at the Golden Eagle. There were many spaces to gather between the main house, the attached carriage house, the large yard, and the large deck on the first and second story. The surrounding area was also beautiful. A few notes about the place: the were manual A/C units which works well, no fire pit, each of us had good cell service, the water is potable, the nearest grocery store is about 20 minutes away in Davis. Some of the many nearby activities: Blackwater falls (20 mins.), Seneca Rocks (40 mins.), Canaan Valley Resort (8 mins.). Canaan Valley has many summer and winter activities that are good for large groups."
Garagemahal! Trails and waterfalls right out the door, forested and quiet.
10/10 Excellent
"The Garagemahal is wonderful! The location cannot be beat. Chip and Laurie were helpful and friendly hosts, fixing a small thing very quickly when we reached out. Even though their house is nearby, they provided plenty of space and privacy and made us feel very welcome to enjoy the home and property. The home was clean, comfortable, and spacious, equipped with useful essentials. The deck is huge - great for outdoor meals and relaxing with a view of the large yard and forest that leads to mountain and valley trails, or the dark sky (we saw 5 shooting stars on our last night!). There's a firepit and access to miles of trails, including one that starts at the edge of the yard and runs uphill along a creek with several very pretty small waterfalls within the first half mile or so. The location is amazing, right in Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge (the popular Freeland Boardwalk Trail is on the way - listen and look there for frogs, beavers, birds, and balsam fir trees), very close to Canaan Valley Resort State Park, and not too far to Dolly Sods Wilderness, Davis and Blackwater Falls State Park, and more. We couldn't imagine a better place to stay for our outdoorsy vacation week!"
