Renwick Mansion Guest House

The Renwick Mansion Guest house is a 1300 square foot three bedroom house that is part of the 4 acre Renwick Mansion estate. It sits on a beautiful partially wooded lot in central Davenport. The house has been part of the same parcel as Renwick since they were all part of the St. Katherine's historic district. Now, the Renwick Mansion is a wedding and event venue with this guest house on the property, and is also rentable on VRBO. If you plan your stay while Renwick is hosting a public event you can catch a concert or comedy show right next door! (Check the Renwick Mansion FB/Instagram page for details)
On the first floor, the house has a comfortable living/TV room, dining room, kitchen and a family room with a sectional couch and projection screen TV. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics to make sure you can cook on the gas stove/oven during your stay.
On the second floor there are three bedrooms and one bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and a TV, bedroom 2 has a full/Double size bed and bedroom 3 has a queen bed and twin sized bunk beds.
There is a fenced in backyard with a brick patio/firepit, back stoop and grill. The lot is shared with The Renwick Mansion, and has plenty of space on the four acres that is near the guest house to explore and play yard games. There is on street parking and off street parking at the end of the lot shared with Renwick as well.
The house is just a few blocks from the river and bike path, and a mile from downtown Davenport and The Historic East Village- both of them are great places to shop, eat or bar hop!

Off season location

I stayed at the guest house for 2 days. It is very cozy with a nice projector screen living room. The host was incredibly responsive. I look forward to staying here when I'm in town again.

Beds were clean and comfy. Nice kitchen. Spacious. The tub/shower…nozzle sprayed across the floor to the door and overall tub & shower really need updated. Hard for me to get in & out with slipping. Very close to the Renwick. We could not enjoy the front porch due to too dirty & too many spider webs. . One bedroom had big stink bugs and guests had to switch rooms.

Girls get away

Loved the quirkiness of the property! We were concerned about the stairs but it worked out fine! Beds were comfy! Got a little cold but the extra blankets helped. Loved the closeness to the riverfront! Enjoyed our visit!

You can tell the owners care for the house and want you to have a comfortable experience. It was clean and comfortable. Always felt safe in the neighborhood. Conveniently located. The light switch for the back bedroom is in the hall. It took us a while to find that one. The bathroom could use a remodel but overall the house was perfect for our weekend needs.

Charming guest house

The Renwick Guest House was a charming spot for our family gathering .The house was clean and quaint, and the yard with the grill was perfect for our BBQ. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Quiet and quirky house. We stayed for a family trip. Coffee was close by (we walked down). The house was really clean (a bit perfume-y). And it worked well for us. We didn't have any issues.

Great add on

We had a church group attending a conference in the area. Most of us were up at the Renwick, but the guest house was a great inexpensive option for three extra bedrooms. The house is quaint and well kept.

Great Experience

The location and accommodations were perfect for being in town for college homecoming festivities. Davenport has evolved over the years and now has so many cool bars and restaurants. The house has plenty of space to sleep, hang out and relax. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our hosts were excellent communicators and available, if needed. We would definitely stay again.

In Town for a Road Race!

The Renwick Mansion Guest house was the perfect location for our group. We could and did easily walk to both downtown and the river front (where our activity took place). We took full advantage of the outdoor space which is fenced so private. There were plenty of chairs and seating both inside and outside, comfy beds, the necessary kitchen utensils, and a coffee maker (a must for runners and and early morning race start). Overall, perfect for us and a great value!

Perfect stay

My brother and sister rented the Renwick Mansion, but I wanted my own place. The guest house was perfect! We could walk back and forth from the mansion easily, but I had a nice quiet place of my own. The screening room was perfect for debuting my teen's short film for my family, and the kitchen worked well for preparing a family dinner. Dane responded quickly to my emails and was kind and forgiving. What a great host!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at the cottage. There were plenty of supplies for cooking. The movie room was wonderful! Location was good. Definitely have a bit of a walk to go anywhere but a short, short drive. So either way it was nice! The lock on the front door was a little tricky until we figured out the secret. Pull the handle towards you when it is trying to unlock. It helps the lock catch! I would definitely stay here again!

Sisters' Gathering

My sisters and I visited the Quad-cities area in mid-June 2024. Our stay at the Renwick Mansion’s guest house was the perfect choice for us. The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated! It had everything we needed to enjoy a sisters' gathering. The house had rooms for intimate conversations and each of us was able to enjoy a bedroom of our own. (We're from a large family and growing up, we always had to share bedrooms.) The location was perfect for getting around the area. Our host, Dane, was fabulous in accommodating our requests. Having access to off-street parking was definitely worth the short walk. Thank you, Dane for an enjoyable stay, and we hope to see you again!

GORGEOUS Historic House!

My friends and I stayed here over a long weekend for a wedding in Davenport, and we had the best time. The house is super cute, quaint, and quiet. Dane came right to our rescue when the front door lock wouldn't budge; he came over in less than five minutes and fixed it for us! He is the best. He graciously gave us a tour of the mansion and I cannot sing his praises enough. One of our friends slept on the sectional downstairs, and it is perfect for someone wanting their own room, complete with room darkening shades. Thank you, Dane, for being so hospitable and kind to us!!

Good house in a good location

We really enjoyed the projector TV and being a short walk from the river and a local coffee shop (Java Java Cafe). We had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking. I wish the bathroom door would have closed. It seemed like it was a little too long for the door frame. I could have messaged the landlord, but it didn't bother us too much as it was just family staying there. The host had good communication with us while we were there. We had a good time. Thanks!
